Service completely restored after the covid period and even new tours were added. I booked the "city sight tour" well in advance which in just over 2 hours gives an overview of the city with free stops in the Marina Bay area and at the Gardens by the Bay. To participate the rules are quite strict because you need to have sufficient time to register and go through immigration before leaving and then to do the checks again upon return. However, everything is clearly explained on the Changi airport website. Although 2 hours is too little to fully experience Singapore, it is enough to make you want to come back and visit it more calmly. This is kind of the point of free tours. The organization was impeccable and part of the credit also goes to the very efficient guide Jamie, who was also well prepared (English speaking) and very nice.

The Free Singapore Tour is an amazing service that is provided by Changi Airport. I am so happy it enables travelers who have a long layover at Changi Airport to have a chance of covering the beautiful Lion City for a couple of hours before their flight to their next destination. I had just arrived from Manila and was on my way to Dhaka. I had a 9-hour layover at Changi Airport and thought I would grab this opportunity to tour the beautiful city of Singapore for a couple of hours. I had been to Singapore several times in the past, but I can't travel there now as frequently as before because I now live all the way in the US. So I thought, why leave Southeast Asia without touring this amazing city? I took the Heritage Tour which took us to sights in Chinatown and Arab Street, including the Sultan Mosque and a Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The tour was very safe and the tour guide's explanations were very well-explained and detailed. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who has a long layover in Singapore. You will not regret it, and I won't say no if I am ever given the opportunity again!

The free tour is a great way to spend a couple of hours during a layover and gives you an excellent overview of Singapore so that you can plan a longer stay on future trips. We did the City Sights Tour and our guide Jamie was very knowledgeable and made it a really fun afternoon.
You can leave your bulky carry-on bags in the airport baggage storage facilities before starting the tour. It's worth noting that you can only leave laptops in the T3 baggage store, the T2 store doesn't accept them.

This tour was very bad and I would not recommend it. Saw a few interesting things but the overall experience was pretty shockingly bad.
We booked extra lay over time to explore Singapore airport and the things they offer as we figured it would be an easy low stress way to see some sights.
We went on the free heritage tour - the customer service was terrible. The organisation system was very bad, the guide (Catherine) was essentially just yelling at us, she was not clear about what we should do and she was very rude.
The actual tour itself was mostly driving past things and giving us propaganda like rants about how great Singapore was, it was hard to see anything from the bus and poorly explained. The driver almost left some people behind (actually started driving away) despite them still having allocated time to get back.
One lady needed to use a rest room half way through the tour and the way the guide treated her was horrible, this was actually shocking and very sad for this older woman.
If you are going to go - take lots of water with you and don’t expect much. The bus is very hot and makes the whole terrible service a lot more hard to handle.
Going by yourself (would have much preferred to go to the The Gardens by the Bay by ourselves if we knew how bad this tour was going to be) or just exploring the Jewel (very beautiful, lots to see etc.) at the airport would be much better options.

My elderly parents were told that they couldn't bring their carry on baggage on the tour and had to drop off and get back within 10 mins. They are 75! Singapore airlines told me that hand baggage was allowed. Then, when my father decided to go on the tour by himself, leaving behind the bags with my Mom, he was told that the counter was closed. He could still see passengers boarding for the tour and the rep wasn't willing to accommodate him. My parents have spent 24 hours at Changi just to do this tour. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Arrived at 14:30 at T1. Ran, dropped the luggage and went to T3 to book. Everything was fully booked and we couldn’t join. We had arranged a 13 hour transit in order to join this tour. We finally wasted our day walking around the city on our own and saw literally nothing...

We went on the Heritage tour. This tour comes highly recommended for tourists in transit at Changi airport.
Our guide, Catherine, was excellent and very knowledgeable. She was very aware of the groups' safety and shared very interesting information regarding the history and interesting facts about Singapore.
Don't miss this wonderful (and free!) opportunity to see more of Singapore!

We did not have high expectations of this tour but since we had a 10 hour stopover we decided to give it a go. We were able to reserve places as we had flights with Singapore airlines. The process was efficient and easy. We were pleasantly surprised however- the guide (May) was excellent; she communicated well and had a lovely friendly manner. We saw a fantastic show at Gardens by the Bay, and all free! Also stopped off at The Jewel on our return, courtesy of the coach driver. Definitely recommend!

We choose to fly Singapore Airlines because of their consistent excellence, but the long layover is, well, long 😬
Changi airport is always efficient, clean, good eateries, and a shorter layover there is fine. The free tour from airport is a first for us.
We opted for the tour (a new addition to their offerings, to nearby residential areas) that started at 9am, given our 7 am arrival.
Quick check in at tour desk, as we had registered, but not yet filled in the paperwork for entry. Collected at 8 am by the guide and taken to join the other passengers. Our guide was engaging and interesting and the tour was a really good mix of viewing the high density residential living solutions and the beachside/ park area that abuts the airport.
An excellent way to get a glimpse of the other side of Singapore and a real credit to the organisers for providing this service.

I took the night city tour on April 12, 2024 and the JEWEL walking tour on April 27, 2024. Coincidentally my tour guide was Isaac both times!!! He is very considerate. I also appreciate his sense of humor and knowledge. It is not easy to take three children (10, 7, and 1 years old) on a tour. But he helped me a lot. Thanks to that, everything went smoothly. It's the children's first time in Singapore. It made me feel really good. I really appreciate his work. If I travel with Singapore Airlines again, I will take this tour.

Hi, our family of 4 will land at 00:20 on Thursday in Singapore, and get on the next international flight at 12:10 on Friday. Given that free tours begin operating 9 a.m., are we eligible to participate? Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Grazie mille
