The last time we were here was when our kid was one. Now that he is older, he enjoyed the zoo so much more. The zoo is not too big but has lots to see. We also remember from last time that they have a...More
We were there at 8:30 for the breakfast with the Orang-utans - loved it -breakfast so so but fine . The rangers were so informative and we were sitting only five or six feet from the free ranging orang-utans.

From a human point of view the zoo is amazing it feels like you are walking through a rainforest next to an amazing lake, all very beautiful.

It is well maintained place and occasionally will have many activities. It has exotic place and able to hide the "metropolitan on singapore" and make it really like in wildlife. Children as well as Adults love to be there like my family.
Good access and facilities to cater to family with young children.
Collection of animals are not that impressive, but very well packaged and presented with outstanding supporting services (see above paragraph).
The zoo itself is okay with many animals to see. You can walk around it easily and we found it better than the electric safari bus.
The night show was great, if you have small children I would think they will have a great time....More

If you book through Singapore Attractions Express, you can take a private bus they have various pick up times and return, costs $6 adults $3 child.
Alternatively you can use MRT
Jurong Bird Park is another corner of Singapore and you need more than half day for this park. ZOO and Rivar safari are side by side and can be done on a single day but definitely not with Jurong Bird Park.
