Fun place to go to check out the markets. We bought some squid prawns and lobster at a good price and cooked for dinner, was great. You can also get fresh fruit and veg here. A good experience

I tried to move on but am still in awe right now.

It started when were walking along Station 1. We were approached by this random person, polite and very friendly. He asked if we wanted to try “paluto” of seafood. Of course! We were excited because we expect that it would be at par or much better than those paluto we have in Manila, in general. The walk was too far but we still maintained our enthusiasm. When we reached the place, it’s ok. We don’t complain with the service and all. We noticed when we are choosing the fresh catch, it’s really expensive. Like the kilo of Pampano (as he claimed though i know it is not) is 1,000 per kilo. The crab is 1,200 per kilo. The shrimp was about 600 pero kilo but we managed to lower it because one seller offered 400 per kilo only. The oysters is 800 per kilo. The scallops is 800 per kilo too. I just continued buying what we wanted because i don’t want to ruin the mood. I just thought i will just right a review about it later.

All in all, the cost of fresh seafood is Php 6,800.00 the paluto is Php 1,200.00. Again, i don’t recommend this option. The luto is not good. The seafood is not the most fresh and its price is like gold - ang mahal! This place do not deserve good recommendation. People here is like taking advantage of the tourist. I hope they change, or the LGU should make sure there is price control here.

If you would come here, I suggest you choose restaurants with buffet like the Hennan because it costs only 1,098, if am not mistaken per pax. Unlike here that 4 of us costs 8k. Not worth it. Please learn from our mistake. Do not attempt to fall for their scheme. Dampa in Macapagal, Pasay, is still the best!

Disgustingly overpriced and generally just rude vendors when you push back. Literally tried to charge us 6800 PHP ($180 Aussie) for 4 prawns, tiny crab, 4 oysters, small squid and a fish steak. The audacity of that was bad enough but haggled down to 1600 PHP, then got hit with a 700 PHP cooking fee. The whole place is a joke and I have no idea if the reviews from 3+ years ago are legit. Do yourself a favor and just go to a resteraunt, buffet ANYTHING besides this scam. Used to love the Phillipines but experiences like this are really turning it into a sour endeavour. Please please please don’t fall into the trap we did.

I went to the market last year when I had my vacation at Boracay (by the way, it's a horrible place, overly crowded and touristy. Vendors are everywhere on the street and you will be approached by different vendors after every few steps, can't even have a peaceful walk there!). The seafood there is definitely not as fresh as what they advertised, and vendors are there to charge you exorbitant price for seafood with below average quality. My friends and I did not wish to argue with them for safety reason, but we will definitely not go to Boracay again for our future vacations.

after 11yrs, we are not happy of what we saw; unfortunately, when the talipapa caught fire many years ago they did not even try to restore the place; there were only 3 stalls there and the price is not that reasonable; aside from buying those fresh seafood (which by the way, is not that fresh, they would just keep adding ice to it) you will be charge for cooking. honestly, the food is not that great either; better eat somewhere else where they have seafood buffet; be careful of what you order as well, because they will charge you extra! the worst part, when i asked for the fish head to be cooked as soup and the tail to be grilled, the grilled fish tail was not cook; so i asked them to grill it again. waiting for 30mins, they came back to me saying sorry that they served it to the other! but they were kind enough to replace the fish. getting the bill, they charge us for rice, that we didnt order! they keep saying sorry but i dont think we will be coming back there again. not a happy camper. just because we are foreigner, they can take advantage of us. so becareful and make sure to check what you ordered.

You can't visit Boracay without having seafood! Talipapa has everything you possibly want and more. Seafood is a premium so expect to spend at least 500 per person but that would already include shrimps, crabs, fish, scallops, squid plus the cooking fees! A lot of restaurants to choose from that would do the cooking, they are all great but we enjoyed the services of Sugba in Boracay.

We are seafood lovers and came here with high bargaining power but the vendor are not willing to go a further reduction of more than 40% which at the end, we have to yield to their demand and all in cash.
The place is crowded with groups of tourists, wet, small and messy.
We bought lobster, squid, big size prawns, big clams, grouper back to our hotel (G Executive Hotel) for the cafe chef to cook for us, of course with charges.

Been here many times. Way back before it is clean and organized. But as I visit here today January2018, it's now terribly bad. The clean restos inside offering "paluto" (restos who offer to cook what you bought from wet market) were no longer there. Instead there were less than 5 palutos and they were too small and always crowded. The wet market itself is a chaos too and disorganized. It was totally different to what they used to look before. Hope that government will prioritized this part of Boracay.

I did not enjoy the lunch at D'Talipapa, with the following reasons:

1. The seafood market was very noisy and the vendors were quite intimidating.
2. The seafood appeared cheap. However, the cooking fee was even more expensive than the seafood itself. In the end it turned out quite expensive for Boracay standard, especially for these simple restaurants
3. The cooking was not so good. The taste was just average.
