Located at the iconic Central Harbourfront, the Hong Kong Observation Wheel offers spectacular day and night views of Hong Kong’s famous skyline and much more. Our ferris wheel rides are priced at just HK$20; as we want to make the experience affordable for all to enjoy. Online reservation is also available to ensure a smoother experience. With just a quick stroll from the Central/Hong Kong MTR Station and Central Ferry Piers, you will not only be greeted by our Ferris wheel, but also an open lawn, yummy snacks and free healthy initiatives at our wellness-themed park: AIA Vitality Park. Top ways to experience Hong Kong Observation Wheel and nearby attractions

The area
Neighbourhood: Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.

A private cabin with stunting view
Very nice view on top. the ferries wheel make 3 turns. Went at 7plus pm. Book the private cabin 160 HKD. I find it worth it as my whole family are inside the cabin without any stranger. We can keep taking pictures and move around in the cabin . Waited for maybe 15mins to board the cabin. A very nice experience for my boys

    Hong Kong from above
The famous ferris wheel of Hong Kong waterfront. The wheel is one of the best venue to view Hong Kong island and its skyscrapers from high ground. The queue can be long because the wheel moves slowly but the patience spent queuing is rewarding.

    Boring
The wheel stops most of the time and there isn't that great of views from it. Given that your viewpoints are narrowed down to where you're seated so if you're in a big group or wanting to really appreciate the scenery in privacy I'd recommend booking the whole gondola. Each gondola holds 8 people. The festival activities going on around it makes this wheel worth visiting. Queues take upwards of 15 minutes, recommend buying tickets in advance.

A cheap way to get a great view.
For the price of 20 HKD per person, you get to go around 3 times and see a great view. It is worth it if the lineup isn't huge. You can book the whole carriage for yourself but that will cost you 130 HKD.
Hi CanuckJames, Appreciate your time to leave us a review. As we can get fairly busy during key holidays, we do recommend booking online to save time. Also to clarify a private gondola is HKD 160 and can accommodate up to 8 people.

    HK Wheel - great experience
How good is this - so cheap as well HK$20 per person. Adjacent to the HK harbor - amazing views from the wheel. There are many shops and other things to do around the wheel. Easy access from the ferry services or Metro - or a wonderful walk along the waterfront on the HK island side of the harbor.
Greetings gcrefs, we want to thank you for the review! We are glad you enjoyed your visit with us and hope to see you again soon. We often host interesting events and offer free wellness classes at the AIA Vitality Hub so do catch them if you have the chance.

The Ferris wheel is worth a short detour for the beautiful view. Good location between the MTR Station Central and the stop of the Hop on hop off buses (big bus tour).
We were practically the only guests, so no waiting time.

Really poor by international standards. It's tiny wheel barly gets to 1/3 rd of the surrounding building height. Hardly used but when it is they cram all into one car leaving the majority of cars empty. It really is a waste of space. Can't take photos as the windows are dirty.

It's safe to avoid this "attraction". At a mere 60m tall, it offers great views to the ugly construction site it is surrounded by, if you are lucky enough to see through the steamy windows (aircon didn't seem to work). Every roof-top bar in Hongkong offers much superior views and doesn't charge for it.

One of the cheapest attraction in hong kong, near the mtr station and bus station or even the pier. Easy to access and not a very long queue

100hkd what a waste!!!

Went on week day, seen 6 couples in queue, so thought we don't have to queue long....but NO waited 55minutes to get on...!?!? So annoying because the wheel go around 3 times, and they weren't filling each one up -only a few.
Left there fuming and angry!
Again the wheel isn't high, so wasn't interesting, Sky100 better.
