Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter is a unique fishing village that blends the old and new. The traditional lifestyle shared among fishermen or Tanka people with many antique junks and sampans are juxtaposed against fleets of luxury yachts and towering skyscrapers. The typhoon shelter is also home to many intangible cultural heritage, all being traces of the humble beginnings of Hong Kong when it was still a small fishing village.

Let us bring you back in time as you hop onboard our unique sampan boats, we will cruise through 13 different local landmarks around the charming Aberdeen fishing village. While cruising, try immerse yourself in the area’s rich culture and history, through our exquisitely designed audio guide, where you will listen to folk-tales, lullabies and narratives of the area. If you’re lucky, you may be able to witness traditional dragon boat trainings or live fish trade in action!

Better markets in other countries. Most vendors carry cheap items that they increase price to reflect luxury items being sold. Some other vendors carry replica items so beware. If you want good deal you'll need to bargain with the shop staff Can still get pretty busy so try to go off peak hours. Located in the heart of Mong Kok a couple of minutes from the MTR

This is a typical street market like you can find in any touristic area around the world. There is not only Ladies market, but several other street markets adjacent, but they are all the same: it is the place to be to buy souvenirs, but make sure to bargain for real because some charge the 10-fold of what you end up paying in the end. If they do not follow your bargaining, don't worry, there will be another shop that will.

One of the popular destinations vacationers would always visit! Great place to check out the local vibe but as it's more directed towards tourist, be alert! Although there are a great variety of products available, quite a number of stores have repeated items. Tip for tourists: ALWAYS haggle & keep in mind that the starting price is always much higher than it's actual worth.

It is easy to go by MTR. We stayed at Hong Kong side and just take 20mins to there. For travel trip, you have to bargain with the sellers because they always give you a high rate for first deal.

We loved this market! Not so much for the items that were being sold, but the experience of negotiation and being told we were “number one people” and “very, very lucky” by the vendors. The sights, the sounds and the smells were wonderful. So glad we left the airport and checked out this area.
