Neighbourhood: Tsim Sha Tsui
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

I recommend spending adequate time on this website prior to all visits so that you can best understand what events, performances, exhibitions, fairs and festivities are taking place during the time of your visit to HK. Once you arrive in Hong Kong, you can also visit the Tourism Board locations at the airport arrival halls, HZMB Hong Kong Port, West Kowloon Station, The Peak and this office at the Star Ferry terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). Here you can ask questions of knowledgeable staff who speak good English and can help you with pretty much anything you might need.Visited February 2020Written 9 February 2020
- jenkle89Hendaye, France408 contributionsSo helpfulWe came here to find out what events were taking place over the Chinese New Year. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They recommended that we see a traditional lion dance at a nearby hotel, which we never would have known about had they not told us, which turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of our trip. We were given New Years goodie bags, tokens for discounts for the sky100 and a website for further discounts on various activities. Excellent service.Visited January 2020Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 January 2020

It doesn’t matter you like it or not. Very congested city for visitors. Over 7 millions people living in a tiny dot on the map. Go see the map before going to Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong tourism board provided the best travel assistance I’ve ever had - literally anywhere in the world. I found it possible and easy to communicate with the HKTB on WhatsApp, and they quickly answered every question I ever had, including about things to see, how to get tickets, best times to visit venues, how do visa applications, best ways to find transportation, what to expect in terms of Covid travel restrictions and requirements, and everything else under the sun, so to speak. They were surprisingly fast and responsive, friendly and kind, and their advice is always good and on point. They also speak fluent English. I was extremely impressed, and will absolutely continue to use their service every time I come to Hong Kong - which will likely be often. The rest of the world should truly model themselves after the service level of the HKTB, because my experiences that they are the best on the planet! My experience is that your travel will be easy and worry free if you use their service.

HK Buddy LINE chat is my best companion in HK. They are amazing. I am really excited to talk about their support during my tough times in Hongkong. They were acted like a friend, a guide and a reliable source. They supported me from my arrival to this day. Love you guys!!!
When i arrived at the airport the tourism desk gave me a pouch full of interesting items including a tourist SIM card.

We had great service - we wanted to find the stop for the hop-on-hop-off bus and we wanted to buy a ticket. They were very helpful, they explained the special promotion (a 50% reduction which was worth having), they pointed us in the right direction, they answer every question you may have on HK. They are very knowledgeable - thank you for all your hints and tips

I am not sure you require the use of wheelchair or not or just using a walker.
Most public places like shopping malls, shops, restaurants have elevator or escalator. Some of the subway line doesn't have elevator, so do check before using the system. The ferry pier doesn't have steps. Crossing busy street intersections may require going up and down the pedestrian bridges. Some are accessible by elevators instead of steps. Carry Kleenex with you all the time because some public washroom doesn't provide toilet paper. I am not sure public washroom is wheelchair accessible or not.
If you are going on tour with a guide, I am sure your guide will have the information, instead of you doing the try and error. If you are going on your own, it may be helpful to get more information from the Hong Kong Tourist information.
