It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. This is one of the endless shopping complexes in Mongkok and a place where you'll find three floors lined with venders selling new and second hand camera and computer equipment and other electronic accessories at reasonable prices. Do expect to negotiate a bit with the shops when prices are not listed.

You'll find Sim City along Shantung Street and Nathan Road in the heart of Mongkok. The little shops start opening around 11am(ish). It can be busy by midday, particularly on weekends. Expect purchases to be final and as is, don't expect return policies with the small and cheap purchases.

By far the best one-stop location for new and used camera gear in Hong Kong. The chain stores like Fortress, etc are nearby and you can price-compare before committing to buy. There are also shops selling camera accessories that chain stores do not usually stock. Paying by cash will always get you the best price. Happy shopping!

SIM city locate at Mongkok, it is easy to reach by MTR. Use exit E2 and you find your self very close it. Sim City id 4 storey building, full of small photograph equipent vendors. Apart of those avoidable vendors in Tsim Sha Tsui here you can find quite reliable vendors who do not push you to buy enything. Prices might be a bit higher than Tsim Sha Tsui but you know what you get. Very positive feeling about Sim city.

I bought a Canon 70D from Digital Trade - Dtrade which after taking around 300 shots got shutter issues. When taking it to an official Canon repair station they informed me that the shutter needs to be replaced which would cost nearly as much as the camera. I contacted the seller here on Facebook to ask how to resolve the issue but no feedback. I would not recommend this seller as I have a strong feeling that this wasn't just bad luck but that the camera already had issues when it was sold. Dtrade, very bad advertisement!!

If you are a newcomer to the area, it’s advisable to approach this store via a MTR subway exit.

Sim City Camera Store is a mazelike, multi-level shopping mall composed of a number of small and cozy shops, which offer mostly new and used camera bodies. Each shop is usually manned by a couple of young, male Hong Kong locals. If you are shopping for a camera, it would be extremely beneficial if you have a budget in mind and have a general idea of the major features you want in a camera.

Lots of cheap cameras available. You have to know the specific brand and model of the camera or camera accessory so that you won't be overwhelmed by the countless options available in this place.

Sim City Mongkok Hong Kong 3 floors of good old fashioned photography stuff. All the current tech and lenses and cameras , drones accessories , bags and tripods filters caps etc etc. absolutely thousands of lenses from low tech to high tech. Picked up a large amount of Acc for my DJI Osmo Pocket. The have a DJI agent , same prices as DJI. The Pocket was HK$2699.00 plus all the add on available. Some prices on stuff ( knock-offs) cheaper elsewhere but for genuine stuff great prices.

Once you get tired of all the knock offs and poorly constructed electronics, cables, and adaptors around the tourist areas, you can come here. What you'll find is a large selection of specialized vendors who deal in electronics and computer equipment that are not knock offs or rip offs. Their prices are fair and there is not much room to negotiate [different then at some of the markets for example]. It's a good place to geek out and to see some things you might not see back home, no matter where you're from!

Little hard to find as it doesn't stand out that much, but well worth the visit if your into camera lenses & that type of stuff. Lost count of the number of levels 5 or 6 floors jam packed with sellers. You can get easily overwhelmed by the volume and choice available. Did our heads in after about the 3rd floor. If you luv cameras & hi tech gear....this is heaven.
