There are so many stores that closed leaving hollow faces. The security guards seemed edgy around this sad place.

Rather quiet but things run very smoothly. Immigration is e-counter clearance. So many eateries closed down. Where are all the crowds … sad. Wish HK all the best and catch up the success soon.

Basically nothing to do here if you came very early for your flight. Just few shops open and limited restaurants open but atleast the wifi is okay.

One of the cleanest and modern airports in Asia. Once you exit the airport express, you will come upon ticketing. Once completed, you will see all the shopping areas, restaurants and private clubs. The shopping can be divided into things you need and things you do not need. Plenty of opportunities to waste money before going through immigration and security.

Convenient airport with easy access to the city ! Shopping here at the airport seems to be quite expensive : you get bigger choice and better prices in the city...

Starbucks has made its imprint on the food and dining scene at Hong Kong International Airport Terminal. There are six locations spaced out around the restricted and non-restricted areas of the airport. Two are 24 hour branches while the others are open from 6.30am/7am to around midnight daily.

Flying in and out of Hong Kong regularly we encounter the local Starbucks here at HKG fairly often. While less preferred to serious coffee shops you can find in the city, they are better than the other large scale coffee shops like Pacific Coffee that you can also find here at the airport.

Espresso drinks taste the same at the airport branches and are similarly priced to the Starbucks branches in the city. We haven't had food orders from an airport based Starbucks in many years so can't comment.

Same merchandise is available for purchase. Staff at the airport branches will definitely be able to speak English, don't expect the same amount of seating you are used to at Starbucks franchises. Payments can be made with HK based Octopus Card, local HK Starbucks loyalty card, HK$ and RMB.

Don’t rely on the information map, it’s very misleading and won’t take you where you want to go. Instead, refer to the sign above you.

A few pointer on the Hong Kong Airport. First of all it is modern, clean, spacious and easy to navigate. However, being so huge, you may not be near your gate. If you are in the 200 number gates, give plenty of time to get to the gate. You must go down about 5-6 escalators, hop a train and it is the last stop and then up 5-6 escalators. It is a multi level terminal and trains are far underground. This can take some time and if you are making a connection, even more important. Also the duty free shops are expensive. Do not wait to buy at the airport, in the city will be cheaper. One last thing, while you can find plenty of Asian food to eat, there were hardly any coffee shops or cafes. A Starbucks and Pacific Coffee were in the gate area, but only take away, no seating. This is a poor service. I gave it 4 stars for overall, but improvements certainly can be made.

Been through HKIA many times in the last 5 years but often didn't have much time for shopping. Bought two different fragrances from Beauty & You. Obviously I accept responsibility for not checking prices back home, but HKG is usually cheaper than Australia.

Got a shock when I found that prices were between 50% to 75% higher than Australia and Singapore. Quite unbelievable that I could have bought almost two bottles of the same fragrance in Singapore than in HKG.

I'm more knowledgeable on wines and whisky and I never buy them at HKG where it is about 10% to 20% more than Singapore and even Australia. Best deals in Dubai and some European airports eg. Heathrow.

Watches - cheaper in HK city stores and authorized dealers. But I buy most of my watches in Singapore.

Lesson learnt, know your prices. Otherwise just Google them or visit the iShop Changi website for a good comparison.
