Shopping Mall in the town of Tai Po that is quite popular with locals and visitors from mainland China that stay in this area of Hong Kong. A decent shopping mall for Hong Kong.

This is the largest shopping mall in Tai Po, located just north of the Lam Tsuen River. It is around a 15-20 minute walk from the Tai Po Market MTR Station. Alternatively, you can take The K12 or K17 feeder buses directly to the mall from the station.
The mall is spaced out over 5 different colour coded zones winding around a few residential estates. There is over 600,000 square feet of space and quite a few midrange and accessible retailers and restaurants which you can see directly on the mall website directory. The eateries have various opening times with most retail shops being open from around 10am to 8pm daily.
There is a massive Yata supermarket and department store that gets fantastically crowded even during midweek. You'll find bank outlets and convenient stores as well. No cinema, ice-rink or much in the form of entertainment at Mega Mall, this is a place to shop, eat and perhaps see some seasonal decorations and then be on your way.

Tai Po megamall is good place for meeting with friends. The mall is very big and have a lot of parking spaces. It is far away from MTR so very few Chinese tourist come for shopping. The mall is not crowded and there are plenty of space for shopping, dining and rest. There are different restaurants with a lot of varieties of food. The price is fair and the standard of food is high. However, the carpark in zone E may close down in September and you might need to take public transport. Please review the update of the protest in Hong Kong because most of the shops would close during the protest.

It's a nice mall and has a lot of shops and plenty of places to eat at pretty good prices compared to the rest of Hong Kong, however, I wouldn't recommend making a special trip here. I happened to be staying in the area but there are better malls elsewhere. Most Hong Kong areas all have a shopping mall at the station.

This is the major shopping and dining place at the centre of Tai Po new town. It has plenty of boutiques and a huge Yata department store, as well as some moderately priced restaurants. Tai Po Mega Mall is largely local with few tourists from China. In general it is a good starting point to explore the area.

Had time whilst in Tai Po Market so wanted something to do, heard a lot about this LogOn store (nick knacks, gadget place) and my kid spotted a cushion she really wanted, so looked online and it was at the Mega Mall (all the others kind of Kowloon/TST/Central way) so off I went.
First thing first, it has no MTR just a feeder bus, as a casual traveller no MTR would've killed the notion of even going there.......but I had a cushion to buy!
Again - thought it couldn't be that far......so walked. It took around 15mins to get there, from the MTR station. Its far enough, plus I had a guide to help me navigate the streets and shortcuts.
Its not much, it appears to be several older building tacked onto some newer/modernized buildings, had a Yata store (high end groceries.......should anyone ever be interested in buying a $1,000 HKD melon, or $900 bunch of grapes - this is the place for you) and the rest of the stores were nothing special.......in fact it was a mismatch of stores - you had some trying to be high end and others very much low end (again old and new buildings) all the buildings were interconnected by bridges, some you had to walk outside (under cover - but no A/C........so a bit weird).
Found the LogOn store if anyone is interested, again very much 'mah!' nothing special.
If you have time to spare, maybe worth a visit, but definitely not worth a "go out of your way for" kind of mall. Sha Tin's New World Plaza - is way better, plus all under one roof and has an MTR stop............but no LogOn ;-)

Same usual shops and middle to lower end eateries.
Shocking lack of car parking facilities given the size of the sprawling estate and everyone from the surrounding area drives into Tai Po.

Only decent burger place in the Tai Po area. Come here for the burgers. Everything is freshly made but apart from the burgers don't try anything else. Really more of a fast food place than a restaurant.

There's absolutely nothing unique about this mall.
It's just your average shopping mall with shops and some eateries.
We stopped there after a long walk and got some drinks.

Don't expect to spend one whole day in this shopping mall, a few shopping mall under the residential complex and connected by bridges such that you don't need to walk under sunshine or rain, shops like Yata, uniqulo, h&m, tissot, no famous brand jewelry shop. Its more suitable to cater for local spenders rather than tourist.
