An inclusive theme park for rides and animals viewing!
The park is huge in size and expect lots of walking. The lower part of the hill consists mainly of the asian animals viewing namely the pandas and otters and also an aquarium . The exciting rides and carnival kiosks are located at the upper hill side. One can choose to acess the upper hill via cable car rides which takes longer but you get a view of the ocean riding up or the faster way will be the “ submarine “ train up. Queues at the rides seems relatively faster compared to Disney but still the popular one can wait up to 40mins approximately. Lesser crowd here definitely. Overall, this is still a great park to visit though the park can looked very dated compared to Disney. Well, Ocean Park is ultimately the first theme park of Hong Kong afterall. Ps: they do bag checks at the entrance but outside food is allowed:)

    Nice Day Out
A bit overcrowded but manageable. The tram up the hill rather than queuing the cable car is a plus especially for parents with kids on prams; otherwise the cable cars are good fun as well. The only one thing that needs improvement is to provide more seating benches, Special mention to a volunteer, Daisy, in the rare Sichaun Golden Sub-nosed monkey. She is very informative and helpful.

    winner
Aside from the heat Ocean Park was a winner. We had just come from HK Disneland where the lines were long and everything was crowded. At Ocean Park we often had wait times of 5 minutes or less. In addition the cable car gives spectacular views of the harbor.

    Great fun without the queues
This is a review for ocean park waterworld, which is different from Ocean Park. This is a largely indoor water park, with an outdoor pool and some outdoor slides. Easy to get in, no queue. Max queue was 10 mins for slides, but mostly no queue at all. Staff efficient at keeping things moving. Good number of inflatables available for pool and lazy river. Bring own towel. It's quite pricey, but this is a quality park. Loads of showers and changing rooms. Food is basic stuff. If you like water parks, this will keep you happy. They do weigh you here, but do it in a sensitive manner. Take note Andamandia in Phuket!

1 of the must-dos in Hong Kong
Ocean Park wasn't busy on Wednesday (9/20/2023). I am sure it's a different story on weekends and during Golden weeks (a week in April and October where many from Mainland China visit Hong Kong). I arrived before the park opened at 10 am, the line was short. Love the Asian Animals even though I only saw the male panda (so adorable), the female was either sleeping or hiding; the red panda is cute too. No waiting on cable car or Ocean Express. The park is beautiful, clean and well maintained, all the staff were friendly and helpful. I was not used to the hot and humid weather but found relief in the various air conditioned exhibits (Aquarium, Asian animals, penguin, sea jelly, etc.). Didn't do any thrill rides, enjoyed Sea Life Carousel, The Rapids, Arctic Blast. I put on a disposable poncho to ride The Rapids but it really wasn't necessary, you got a little wet but that was it. Ocean Park is well worth visiting for adults and children. They don't give out map anymore so best to download their app.

Good place, if you don't mind staying in line all day
There is a lot of fun stuff that you can do here. You can eat nice foods too, there are a lot of things that you have to pay extra for. A LOT cheaper than Disney. But the lines that you stay on, it is bad. If you stay there a whole day and 80-90 percent of your time is standing in line, that is not the perfect day

understaffed, top runs out of service
We visited OP second time, first time was in 2019. Rides are short, changeover process slow and inefficient, and often carts or floats sitting 6-9 people are only filled with one or two riders - all this leading to long queues. Also, several rides are temporarily or permanently out of service, such as Abyss, two rollercoasters in Marine World as well as the dolphin show (see pictures). Over all rather disappointing. The aquarium and panda encounter are very good, though. Also easy to reach my MTR.

    A fun experience
It was a nice experience, the place was huge. We had fun riding the cable cars. The park was not jam packed with people as well, easy to walk around. But the park definitely looks OLD, was a bit disappointed since it was my first time visiting the park. It badly needs renovation.

One last time for old times sake!
We came 'en famille' for one last hurrah late last year1 And Ocean Park did not disappoint. The jewel of the south had something for everyone, and a wonderful time was had by all, tinged as it were with some degree of bittersweet nostalgia. The highlight was still the hair-raising Headland rides! Still a thrill!

Huge park. Be prepared to walk
We bought the tickets from K**k and it was much cheaper than buying directly from OP. The park was huge and despite seeing the huge crowd waiting at the entrance before opening, the queue was short. We didn’t wait long for cable car and Carousel. This park caters to both the young and old. It has animals like penguins, fish, pandas ,etc for the young children and thrill rides for the older ones. I wish there were more thrill rides (kiddy version) for the little ones. It was very cold and windy up the mountain so be prepared for thick jackets and ear muffs. There is a Mac d kiosk near the rainforest and some seats.

Our first visit to Ocean Park in HK. Tho the weather wasn’t good, it didn’t affect our mood interacting with the lovely animals. Panda is so adorable! Jelly fish aquarium is my favourite, colorful lighting nicely curated. We have got the chance to watch the dolphins show too.

Thanks a lot for doing so much to conserve the habitat of the nature.

One of the best ocean parks in Asia whose extensive aquarium exhibits reflects the wide diversity. Displays include tropical fish endemic to the region as well as some freshwater fish found in the Amazon river. Kids would love the jellyfish tanks lit up with neon lights, as well as the wading pools where you can touch and feel starfishes and seashells. The penguins and sea lions are a big favorite too because these are interactive features. They have something new every so often, and its worth coming back for over and over again. Our kids really enjoyed and fun ,It was a great thing to see and experience at first hand the' first Oceanarium right at the heart of hongkong.Being the first, its a must see and visit attraction to experience the beauty and wonders of the sea creatures especially those found in the waters .What's more, it will be the first time for my 2 son and my husband to experience seeing and visiting this big Oceanarium. oit offers one of the world's best Oceanariums that boasts 14,000 marine species found in the Southeast Asia. It has both indoor and outdoor aquariums and tanks filled with 3,000 cubic meter. The Oceanarium has 7 sections divided into species and regions their found. The entrance towards the aquarium is quite wide and spacious. Tickets can be purchased onsite but it’s cheaper when you purchase online by around 300hk plus and the young is only 195 hk So we decided to purchase our tickets online for around 395hk.We then made our way inside wide open spacious hall with stores selling souvenir items, food stalls and entrances to the main oceanarium itself on the right and the other attractions and the outdoor theatre on the left. You must keep your tickets with you at all times since you will need to have them scanned on the other attraction outside the aquarium. It was a charming scene here and a great start to begin our sea journey. Next right after is the Reef, which is the beginning of the indoor aquariums that features the marine and coral species and beyond. I am amazed by the high quality standards of the place. It is quite comparable actually to the best aquariums of the world more so from developed countries. The site is clean, well-maintained, orderly and very spacious. Even the interior is quite spacious there’s a lot of social distancing spaces for the visitors. Air-conditioning and ventilation are also well managed and in good condition despite the unbearable summer heat outside it was quite cool inside. The reef section has a central piece of cylindrical tank which is similar to most aquariums. Each aquarium features unique and beautiful corals and marine species endemic to the waters of Southeast Asia. We could see colourful Corals, Starfishes, Eels, and Coral reef fishes like Lion fish, Clown fish (or Nemo popular), Angel fish, Puffer fish, Blue Hippo Tang (or Dory popularly) to name a few. My 5 year old could not hide is excitement starting from here and I could tell he is full of emotions right now hehe. After a couple of shots in this section were on to the next incredible one - the Lost Atlantis. Similar to the Reef, this section features aquariums and tank of different sizes with an added feature. This is the Big Ocean section where marine species of the wide open seas and coral reefs dominate. One of the cool features we saw was the diver inside a big tank doing some maintenance work on the coral reefs inside. We took a photo & video with him and it was one of the coolest things we encountered. And next to this aquarium is the central attraction of the place - the 25 m tunnel with an outstanding view of the biggest tank in the oceanarium inside. Following that unforgettable memories and experience with the Penguins we walked in towards another attraction in the park but no need to show your tickets here. I felt is here at home when we went here. It was so amazing, incredible and magical. . As we head towards the souvenir shop and the exit to the main hall it was already in time to watch the Sea Lion and outside in their outdoor auditorium. It was a hot and humid peak of summer and outside we could really feel the heat. The entrance to the outdoor auditorium is on the right side of the park and you have to pass by the main entrance just across the ticket office. Together with the background music that filled the entire room they are in synchronise with the cute lovely as they inside their tanks in a coordinated, rhythmic and magical way. I’ve never seen in my life after visiting a couple of aquariums around the world anything like this exhibit and display it was truly fantastic, unique and creative - one of a kind. My son were indeed very happy, delighted, excited, satisfied and most of all nurtured with our informative, wonderful and memorable trip and visit here at the ocean Park. Before we head out back we took a moment to relax and witness the romantic and magical sunset just outside the Jellies where there is a walkway and viewing deck to enjoy this wonderful moment. We took our stunning photos and videos with the sunset and since its almost 6 in the evening the park’s souvenir shops and most food stalls were already closed. Kudos as well to the staff at the park who are very friendly, helpful and cordial when we ask questions and giving us the right information. A quick photo at theOcean Park before heading off is a must for some memorabilia deserving that we have visited the best aquatic wildlife park in the that is on par with the world’s best oceanariums. Truly proud of be a Filipino and will surely recommend this park for family and friends looking for that learning and fun trip only and yes just in Ocean Park!!!!

We went with our adult daughter-had a wonderful time. They have all sorts of animals-pandas, penguins, monkeys, dolphins, etc. the cable car over the mountain to the second half of the park was fun. We had two delicious meals-lunch at Tuxedos and dinner at the Ginger Grill-both meals were by far the best amusement park meals we have ever had and at a reasonable price. (The meals were better than the best that I have had at Epcot Center in DisneyWorld.) At Tuxedos, we could watch penguins as we ate. From the other side, you can’t see the restaurant. The rides looked fun, but more limited in number.

It's a huge park and it takes the whole day to go through the whole park! There are lot of animals to see, rides, shows, shops, cable car! The line up wait time usually is short. At disneyland have long wait time and more expensive, they have more rides there so I prefer ocean park. At night time there is a night show by the water fountains. There are hotels at ocean park. You can buy tickets either at the door or online or online sellers like trip.com, you can see those online sellers on Google maps

Interesting destination for both the young and elderly. Visited with my 80+ friend and my 9 year and 14 year old grandchildren. There wasn’t long queues for any of the rides or other amusements and there were rides suitable for all age groups to go on together. As well as the amusements there was an aquarium and a small zoo. We also enjoyed the great view from the included chairlift ride.

When you have kids under 122 cm length, don't go.
It's expensive...especially because your kid can't go in the attractions because off safety rules.
A lot off the attractions what they have, they also have it in our country ( the Nertherlands). Over there i can go with my 6 year old son, without a problem.
With older childeren it can be fun.
For me it was a really bad day.
