    What a view
Our family of two adults, a 9 year old and a 6 year old visted here during the busy Chinese New Year holidays. We bought tram tickets online as we heard horrific (and true) stories of people waiting 2 hours to buy tickets and 1 hour to board a tram. We thought buying tickets in advance would spare us but no, we would've had to wait 1 hour to board a tram to get up to the Peak so we decided to take a taxi up instead and took the tram down. The Peak has a building with a mall essentially, places to eat and shop then a viewing platform at the top with amazing views. We didn't eat or shop here but there's a good variety worth checking out. Make sure you go right around the viewing area but of course, the famous views are down to the skyscrapers in Central and views across the water to Kowloon. This is a must-do for all tourists. Enjoy!

    Amazing Views on Hazy Day
It was a bit of a hazy day but well worth taking the time. Views are amazing. There are free viewpoints along the way”ground” level as well as the top level of the Galleria Mall. There is also a for-fee observation deck which we didn’t bother to use.

Tram up, walk down, buy tickets in advance
Definitely a good half day spent in Hong Kong. Take the tram up, walk down either the same path or through the Pok Fu Lam country park (take a bus to get back to Hong Kong central). For a good view from the peak tower without buying the sky tower ticket, there's a glass window on the level below the one where you deboard from the tram.

    Tram experience is good
Sit on the right ofhe tram while going up, and on the left while coming down. When you reach the top, you get a good city view and the high rise of HK. There are souvenir shops in between, prices are quite reasonable compared to other tourist places in HK. Also a few free museums in between for kids leisure. Observatory can be avoided, given its steep price. You can enjoy the free view from Galleria mall

    Victoria Peak - Hong Kong
We took the ferry from Star Ferry pier in Tsim Sha Tsui to Central & took bus no 15 from Central (just a few steps away from the pier) - goes directly to the Peak. Was a nice scenic trip going through Central & Wan Chai districts in HK island. We visited the Peak twice during our stay in Hong Kong. The first time, it was a cloudy evening so the views from the top were not clear at all. The second time, we checked the weather forecast before visiting & it was a clear day. The harbor views from the Peak are simple exceptional in the day time and night time both. We spent close to 3 hours at the Peak. Suggestion - check the weather forecast and avoid planning a trip to the Peak on a cloudy day as the visibility is not good and one is not able to see the views from there

Enchanting view of fascinating Hong Kong.
After 1 day of pouring rain, Hong Kong gave me an extraordinary day and I therefore couldn't miss the climb to Victoria Peak. I used the bus that connects the station near the Star Ferry terminal directly to the top, saving a lot of time and money, Impregnable and breathtaking view. I also took the opportunity to walk a few kilometers along the perimeter of the hill with different and always magnificent views of the city. If the weather is good it is an excursion not to be missed! After 1 day of heavy rain, Hong Kong gave me an extraordinary day and I could not miss the ascent to Victoria Peak. You need to visit here
You will definitely come here if you are vacationing in Hong Kong as a tourist. This place is good because you can look at the city from above, there is nothing else special here. You need to go in clear weather, otherwise look at the smog and the city in haze, it’s a so-so experience. The cafes and shops upstairs are no different from others; you don’t even have to go in. A lot of people. We went up by train, it was more convenient.

    Magnificent view of the city
The day after we landed, this was the first attraction we visited. We paid for the tram both ways and SkyTerrace. The ride up is amusing and worth doing once, as it feels like a cross between a bus/metro and a gondola (due to the angle of transport). Once you get to the top there are a few places to shop, grab snacks and of course take pictures overlooking below. The extra cost for the SkyTerrace does give the best views of the city, but whether it’s worth the extra is up to your budget. One can certainly get good pics not going to SkyTerrace. Overall, I was glad we went. An easy attraction for the family that wasn’t ridiculously priced from a North American perspective. If it had been a cooler day, and had the extra time, I would have walked/hiked up for the extra exercise and save some money.

You can get there by buses No. 15 or No. 1
You can get there by bus No. 15 or No. 1 from the Central bus station. If you sit forward on the two-story No. 15, the views are excellent, the price is several times lower than the tram. But it was foggy, and time was running out. Good atmosphere, filmed from the temple, the station was open, but in the fog.....

I was there by chance on October 3, 2023, I say that because I was on my way to the Rolls-Royce and Tesla store, but when I was on my way I came across a large crowd of tourists heading to that place, and I decided to stay for right there, and it was so worth it. I paid 88 Hong Kong dollars for a return ticket, and from what I had seen in a video on the “Estevam pelo mundo” channel, this is where the oldest and steepest funicular in the world is located, it was also the first funicular in Asia made in 1888, and currently the local government has redesigned it entirely to provide access to the Island's main viewpoint. Now I need to give my statement, my main mistake was wearing Hawaiian flip-flops, I have hyperhidrosis, and I'm terrified of heights, when the doors opened, that cloud of tourists rushed in and I ended up standing upright. A group of people also stayed, and on the way up my feet and hands were sweating and I lost my balance, it was the worst feeling in the world, I could see the time when I would skid and roll, causing a serious accident. I was very nervous and the journey seemed endless. But getting up there was great, I went to the bathroom and cleaned my feet, which were sweating a lot, and washed them, and everything was fine. I stayed until dusk because the view really is beautiful, but I really have a phobia of heights, and I even backed away when I was going up the escalators that have a view of the city on the glass screens, which scared me a lot, but then I went getting used to it. On the way back, I was smart and quickly sat down in a comfortable seat. But even so, it's very steep and feels like you're falling out of a plane. Terrible feeling for me.

The view of the harbor at the peak is breathtaking, and should be included in the itinerary of anyone visiting Hong Kong. However getting to the viewing area is not straightforward. As you exit the Peak Tram, you will see escalators going up. Naturally you will take the escalator, but when you reach the next level, there is yet another escalator and it continues seemingly ad infinitum. When you finally get to the end of the escalator journey, you face a ticket counter to pay to enter the observation deck. But you don't have to pay unless you want to since there are free observation area elsewhere. Just go down the endless escalators until you reach the exit to the building. When you are outside, there are free observation areas facing the harbor, and as a bonus, free observation area on the other side to see the southern part of Hong Kong.

The Peak in Hong Kong is not only a stunning natural landmark but also a site rich in history and culture, making it a must-visit destination for both tourists and locals. There are two main ways to reach The Peak: by taxi or the historic Peak Tram. For those planning a late afternoon visit, I highly recommend taking a taxi up to avoid the long waiting times for the tram, and then enjoy a scenic tram ride back down. Alternatively, if you're an early riser, catching the first tram of the day is a fantastic way to start your visit.

Once at The Peak, you'll find several viewpoints that provide spectacular panoramas of Hong Kong's skyline, Victoria Harbour, and beyond. These vistas are truly mesmerizing and offer countless photo opportunities. For those interested in a more leisurely experience, there's a wonderful one-hour trail that winds around The Peak. This trail is perfect for anyone intrigued by the botanical geography of the island, as it showcases a variety of interesting plants native to the area.

The Peak is not only known for its natural beauty but also for its connection to popular culture. It has been featured in several films, adding to its allure. For instance, the iconic Hollywood movie "The Dark Knight," directed by Christopher Nolan, included scenes shot in Hong Kong, capturing the city's vibrant skyline, which can be best appreciated from The Peak. This film, part of Nolan's acclaimed Batman trilogy, further highlights the cinematic appeal of Hong Kong's skyline. Additionally, many celebrities and movie stars have visited The Peak, drawn by its breathtaking views and serene environment.

After exploring and taking in the views, head over to the Peak Galleria. It's an ideal spot to relax and recharge with some local delicacies like milk tea and egg tarts. These tasty treats are a perfect way to conclude your visit to The Peak, leaving you refreshed and satisfied.

The Peak is a must-visit destination in Hong Kong, offering a unique blend of natural beauty, cinematic history, and cultural experiences. Whether you're an early bird or prefer a leisurely afternoon visit, The Peak promises an unforgettable experience.

We started out early from Mongkok took the Tsuen Wan line to Admiralty station, then took a taxi to the foothill entrance. There was a few visitors only so no queue as it was a weekday. We had Octopus cards ready and just waved in. The tram was almost empty! It was 8.30am-ish and we remembered to sit on the right side as we went up for better view. The ascent took only 15 minutes(?). When we arrived at the viewing platform the morning air was crisp and not a cloud in the blue sky! The sun was out and a cool breeze blowing as i stood on the edge savouring the sight of the Fragrant Harbour, a sight that I had seen umpteen times since I was young was suddenly staring back at me! We didn't want to leave but just sucked in the atmosphere and the sight and the best part was there were less than 10 people up there. Had it not for the big tour groups that started to come in we'd had stayed longer. Our best one hour spent in Hong Kong!

While a somewhat stereotypical thing to do in Hong Kong, I would recommend going up once during the day and the night to get a good view of the city. It is really quiet beautiful and shouldn't be missed - especially if you enjoy taking photos. We went on two separate days and road the tram up. It was worth the trip. Aside from the viewing platform there are a lot of shops and restaurants at the top as well, so there is more to do then just look at the city.
You can book tickets online or use your octopus card for the trip up.

Good visit on a hot Saturday morning. Took the MTR from from Tsim Tsa Tsui to Central and it was a well sign posted, short walk to the Peak tram. Queues were small at 11a., used Octopus card for ticket which was convenient.

I've been up to the Peak as a tourist on many on many occasions on each visit to Hong Kong and it never disappoints. Went up to the sky viewing terrace on this trip and it was easy to gain access with our octopus cards.

Took the bus back down to Central on return journey - quite scenic and a change from the tram on the way up.

I’d suggest taking a walk on the peak (3km and mostly shaded) in the late afternoon and continue seeing the sunset/night view of the city in the evening. The peak is several degrees cooler than the city, so bringing an extra piece of clothing if you can get cold easily. While there is a long queue for peak tram, it’s highly recommended to take the tram as it’s so unique. If you take the tram uphill, it’d be a good idea to sit on the right side as you can have the best view there.

Amazing experience
We recommend to walking to get up to the peak the views are fabulous the path to get up is very clean safe and you see people walking up and down, you don’t need to be trained to walk up but you can do stops each time you need they are points where you can seat, public toilets free and very clean , you need just a bottle of water. The time to walk is around 40-44 min maybe more depending how long are your stops .
You can hear some birds, you can see some birds colourfully, lovely trees and different species of plants.
We you get up you have amazing views you find different spots free of charge you just need to get around the building and including inside the building you can find some access to the balcony where is free . Yes is worth to walk
Shopping inside the building average prices some fast food as well with multiple choices.
When we finish we walked again back to the town the same way and were done around 25 min leisure walk.

The Peak is simply awesome! You get to it by going up a mountain by bus, car, or tram (I’d advise bus - it’s cheapest and fairly quick). You also go through a mall before hitting the viewing point, so go with an empty stomach as the restaurants up there are a delight. The view is simply stunning and is hard to put into words. I would suggest going during the day rather than at night. Whereas Tsim Sha Tsui is at its best during the evening and night, I think Victoria Peak really stands out during the day, as you see the skyscrapers in their raw strength and power.

Bought our tickets thru klook so the queue was fast ( we went on a Thursday, btw). People were pushing each other in the tram, no proper queueing system, so the elderly & kids were also squeezed just to get inside the tram. Short 5 mins tram ride, but you wouldn't get a good photo of the view because there were a lot of people.

There is not a lot to do when you reach the top - viewing deck, mall, some restos and shops, activities/ entertainment that needs separate booking (monopoly, madame tusauds, etc). Place also doesn't have a lot of seats to lounge around, so you either need to order in a restaurant or sit on the grass.

Not value for money, would recommend booking a rooftop bar resto instead if you are after the view.
