Our spacious outdoor deck with some of Hong Kong's best views attracts an after- work crowd looking for a chill space to unwind, relax and socialize on the east side of Hong Kong Island. Sugar is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner until mid-September while FEAST (Food by EAST), the bustling eatery on 1/F closed for renovation. The bar is at the roof top of the East Hotel, with a panoramic view of the harbour. A perfect place for a chill out with friends or family.

Sugar is a nice rooftop bar at East Hong Kong Hotel in Taikoo Shing that makes for a nice evening out and round of drinks. It is located on 32/F and is open from 5.30pm to midnight. What you will find is a nicely decorated modern bar with both indoor and outdoor terrace seating. Views from the outdoor terrace of the harbour and skyline are very rewarding especially when sky conditions are favourable.
We stopped by last week for happy hour and enjoyed a round. As we have found in the past, service was polite and friendly, drinks were just fine. Crowds were manageable as we visited fairly early. It can get rather crowded here later on and on weekends. Did not order food on this occasion but have in the past, all of which are ok, nothing special but fine for nibbling on while enjoying a round.

The airline-themed New Years bash in 2021-2022 was pretty cool, since I've been trapped unable to fly home for over a year.
Boo to Qantas Airlines, props to Edmond, Lucas and Victor!
The team was even nice enough to offer a blanket for my wife when the December wind blew in.
It's a warm farewell to us as we (hopefully) fly out.

Great views, atmosphere, drinks and music. Food options are also interesting and different. Suggest you book beforehand via website and phone to ensure access. Have visited multiple times. In Winter they have blankets to keep warm and in Summer big fans to keep cool!

Best view of the city, followed by good drinks and (although not too many options) good food. You pay for it - very expensive - but worth it. With perfect lounge music and amazing staff, you can easily put your concerns aside!

Overwhelming view of victoria harbour especially for sunset. Tranquil and few minutes walk fr largest shopping arcade taikooshing. drinks reli affordable price. However cockcoach can b found this time meaning the hygiene worse than ever.....

On my son's recommendation, we went one clear, warm evening for drinks to this wonderful rooftop bar. We had one drink in the lounge and were lucky enough to be seated outside soon after at approx. 7.30pm. The view was one of the most spectacular I have ever seen ... breathtaking city lights as far as the eye could see! Even the view from the Ladies Restroom was amazing! The service was excellent with drinks to match. We loved our visit here so much that we stayed much longer than planned and enjoyed some delicious selections from the bar food menu which we also thought were outstanding. We can't wait to return here on our next visit to Hong Kong.
