One of the interesting things about Tung Chung is the Art Walk centred around the Yat Tung Estates. Sponsored by LCSD and Housing Department, 26 art works were erected around the Estates in two stages. The first 16 works went up in 2000, followed by 10 more in 2003. These works were spaced around Yat Tung to provide aesthetic beauty to the area for residents (and visitors) to enjoy. If you google the Tung Chung Art Work, you can find a couple online resources showing the location of the 26 artworks around the Yat Tung Estates as well as some general information about the different works and the respective artists. If you want to see some of the Tung Chung Art Walk, it is conveniently located in between the Tung Chung MTR Station and the trailhead for the Ngong Ping 360 Rescue Trail and the Tung O Ancient Trail. You can pass right through it and take in as many of the artworks as you like at the start of finish of these hikes.
