We visited this area not knowing what to expect. We found an oasis in the city. We also visited the nunnery and a guide explained all the relevant interesting areas. We would recommend highly.

Diamond Hill is the the English name for Po Kong (Daisy Hill) in East Kowloon. The area has been inhabited by small local villages that predated British colonial period. However, today mostly what is found in Diamond Hill are residential neighbourhoods and a few points of interest for tourists.
Attractions that visitors can enjoy in Diamond Hill include the impressive Chi Lin Nunnery and adjacent Nan Lian Gardens, which are amongst the most beautiful places to visit in all of Hong Kong. The monastery and garden are both built in the manner of Tang Dynasty architecture and are free to visit. You will also find a large residential shopping mall called Plaza Hollywood atop the Diamond Hill MTR Station, which connects the district to the rest of Kowloon and greater Hong Kong.

The Diamond Hill temple and park with the vegetarian lunch meal was a delicious treat in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Kowloon. Do make a booking for the lunch. A wonderful few hours spent compared to the super busy Wong Tai Sin temple.

Above the Diamond Hill MTR Station is a large shopping mall for those who want to do shopping.
However, a very short walk away are the Nan Lian gardens and the Chi Lin nunnery. Both are phenomenal places to visit.
There are also the Hammer Hill Gardens - unfortunately, not up to competing with the nunnery or other gardens.

Easy to reach via MTR or bus #70 Kowloon.
Many very nice stores with good prices. I really like DECISION, a women's wear shop where the sizes are large enough for EUR.or North America female bodies. Also a very good SKETCHERS store with samples not found in NA. Supermarket TASTE on 4th floor has a wide selection of groceries. Lots of choices for restaurants. See review of Modern China.

We were there on the weekend with the extended family. A cloudy day, it tried to rain, but didn't. Diamond hills was accessed by the MRT subway. Free admission, not too many people. Warning: Selfie sticks prohibited due to a prior commotion resulting in an injury. The "Selfie Police" are everywhere.
Diamond Hill is a big bonsai garden with vegetation that is meticulously cared for.
The park is wheelchair friendly all over. There are toilets and refreshments available.
