Jamie Lloyd, J3Private Tours Hong-Kong was an excellent guide for us. We were a group of 4 and on a limited time schedule. Jamie was prompt and honored our time constraints but was able to show us many of the high lights and interesting things of HK. He was organized and planned. He made it easy for us to travel about the City by walking, by sub way and on ferry. 5 stars for Jamie!…

Jamie organized an enlightening itinerary to introduce us to Hong Kong. Since we were there during the protests, he used caution in where we went and what we saw. He is a terrific guide... knowledgeable in history, culture and social norms. But more important, he is engaging, fun and relaxed. In one brief day, we felt as though we found a friend. We chatted, laughed and learned from one another... who could ask for anything more. Absolutely recommend him!!! …

We first met Jamie in 2016 when we booked a day tour, however due to very bad weather, after just 2 hours, Jamie recommended we call it quits at no charge. We always promised that we would be back to continue our tour and in late September this year, we had the most perfect Hong Kong weather and thoroughly enjoyed a Full Day Tour with Jamie. Jamie is incredibly knowledgeable on Hong Kong sights, history, people, food, etc etc. He is also a wonderful guy. We have traveled to Hong Kong numerous times over the years, but we saw sights we hadn't seen before and experienced Hong Kong from a different tourist perspective. Our Trip to the Peak and the walking track at the top of the Peak was absolutely stunning and we didn't even know this track existed previously. As mentioned we had the most glorious day and spent quite a bit of time at the Peak just listening to Jamie's stories and facts of Hong Kong. We visited St Jonhs Cathedral which is a lovely 1849 Anglican Church with great history. Hong Kongs "Lucky Spot" The Lions at the HSBC Building was also on the list. A casual walk down Nathan Road past Sams the Tailors which is still an iconic Tailor in Hong Kong, riding the MTR to get from place to place is great. One of the Highlights of the Tour was the visit to Nan Lian Gardens which we hadn't seen or heard of before. These gardens are well worth the visit to just soak in the tranquility. Jamie took us to Din Tai Fung Restaurant for Lunch which is Michelin 1 Star Fusion Dim Sum restaurant and he ordered for us. The food, service and price were all amazing. We have already recommended this restaurant to friends. All we can say, is Pay the Price and Take a Tour with Jamie. You will not regret it. Thank You so Much Jamie and we hope to see you again someday.…

What a wonderful introduction to the vibrant city of Hong Kong! My husband and two teenage kids took a tour with Jamie on our second day in Hong Kong - it ended up being the highlight of our time in Hong Kong. Jamie customized the tour for our family and our 6 hour tour of Hong Kong island and Kowloon flew by. Jamie was honest, funny and so knowledgeable about the culture. At the end of the tour he was generous enough to customize and recommend an itinerary for a self guided tour to Lantau island. Thanks Jamie! I'm happy to highly recommend this tour.…

Our family of 4, with 2 kids under 10, spent 2 weeks in Thailand prior to stopping in Hong Kong for 4 nights on our way back to New York. How could you travel all that way, go through the airport and not see the city itself? We booked Jamie for two 6 hour days not really knowing much about Hong Kong, other than it was a busy city. We knew that in visiting for 3 days we would definitely need a guide to maximize our time there. Without doubt, Jamie was prepared for traveling with our family. Shockingly prepared in fact. When our Octopus (transit) cards unexpectedly ran out money, he was ready. When we needed an ATM or a restroom, he instantly knew where to go. When one of my daughters covered herself in ice cream, he had wipes. It seemed that whatever we required, he was ready. Of course, it goes without saying that he knew the city. He knew the quickest routes, he knew the history, topography, geography of the entire area. He took us all over Kowloon, Hong Kong island and Lantau Island. Jamie highlighted to us that either he is a very well rehearsed professional or the transit system in HK is the best in the world, as his plots from taxi, to train, to bus were so utterly flawless we were literally whisked from place to place, effortlessly. (I think it’s a bit of both). As we found out, there is a cannon fired across the harbor each day at noon. Jamie was so well timed for this that when we arrived, we waited for about 5 minutes, watched the cannon and were off again right afterwards. His timing was perfect! We were so enthralled with his services, that we booked our 3rd and last day with him as well. Thankfully, he was available! Please also keep in mind that our tours were only days after the protests on Hong Kong island. We never felt scared. We never felt worried. We never felt unsafe. So, what do you look like for in a tour guide? Someone that is excited about the places they’re showing you? Someone who takes their job seriously and is professionally on time? Someone who is respectful and courteous? I’d recommend Jamie at J3 Private Tours. He is absolutely worth it! The best review I can give? We are now safely home in New York and our notoriously grumpy 8 year old was just put to bed. Her last comments were ‘I miss Jamie in Hong Kong’ which is quite something really amazing and correct, as we ALL miss him and wish him the very best!…
