The Riff is Asia’s premier standup comedy club. It is Hong Kong’s only full-time comedy venue, and the first on the continent from Live Nation, the entertainment house behind the legendary Punchline Comedy Clubs in the US, home to giants including Dave Chappelle.

They say that laughter is the best medicine. With a year like 2020, the Riff has been the medicine I needed.
I have already been to 8 shows and at each one experienced full body laughs that made my abs sore.
The club is absolutely emasculate and the what sets it apart from the rest is the passion for comedy and attention to detail that the management has that makes each show truly entertaining. From open mics to headline events, the Riff puts on a great show.
I’m proud to live in a city that features such tremendous local talent and the Riff does a top notch job of showcasing it. Feel proud Hong Kong, the Riff is a gem you won’t find in many other cities.

I was blown away by the quality of the bar and the shows. Was not expecting a local comedy night to be this fantastic. Highly recommend.

I started going to The Riff earlier this year, made a habit of going there whenever I'm on a first date! Really chill place with a hilarious roster for comedians who do the entertainment for me! My dates are always impressed and I don't have to do much. Just sit back with my drink and enjoy the show. I'm planning to sign up for their open mic night soon! Wish me luck! :-)

Being located in California Tower make the Riff a great place to drop in for a drink or plan a night out.
The showroom for performances and comedy are top notch. There is comedy almost every night of the week and and the happy hour specials a awesome.
Headliner shows sellout really fist, which speaks to the quality of entertainment they offer.

The Riff is the best entertainment/comedy venue in Hong Kong hands down. There are great shows of comedy and variety entertainment and a growing community of top notch comedians from all over Asia and around the world. When you visit Hong Kong this is not to be missed.
Be sure to hang out after the show and have a drink Or two (great drinks also) as the comedians usually hang and other performers from around the city will stop in.

The Riff is in California Tower in the middle of Lan Kwai Fong, which makes it super convenient to stop in for a drink. They have a purpose-built showroom along with a separate bar that offers happy-hour specials, which make it affordable as well!
The bonus is that the Wednesday and Sunday open mics are generally free, so it's a low-risk option just to see what's going on that week. I have been to a few of their shows as well, and they were super funny!
Most of their headliner shows sell out at least a week in advance, so I would recommend booking ahead for those shows - otherwise, just stop in and see what they're up to!

Booked a pair of tickets for the comedy showcase as my boyfriend is a comedy enthusiast. Happy to see Vivek!! He is really funny! As a HKer I feel very relatable to his jokes Lol Would check out the Chinese open mic on Mondays next time!

If you’re looking for a different night out this place is well worth a look. The show was hilarious and the bar is very cool as well. The Thai coriander cocktail was my favorite.

Been to a lot of comedy clubs around the world and this is by far one of the nicest. Modern, stylish showroom and bar, lots of funny local comedians, and they have shows/open mics going on most nights. Really nice location too, good for a change of pace in LKF.

Fantastic location in the middle of LKF, the show was hilarious for some much needed laughs. The showroom is built for comedy so creates a perfect atmosphere for comedy
