I had a great time with Armie doing the food tour last year.
Not only did we enjoy some of the best food I had in Hong Kong, but Armie was also a great guide who welcomed me with such ease and friendliness, making me feel like visiting a friend showing me around the city!
Since we began the tour at the site where the Kowloon Walled City used to be located, Armie also took the chance to educate me about the interesting history of Hong Kong, especially the events leading to the existence of the Walled City.
I would highly recommend booking a tour with Armie to anyone who wants to get to know Hong Kong through the eyes of a lokal who is very passionate about his hometown.
The tour is probably my favorite memory I have of my trip to Hong Kong, thank you Armie!

Armie is an amazing tour guide. He delivered a 4 hour guide to a group of 20 Grade 9 students and kept them entertained throughout with his brilliant storytelling. He brings a depth of knowledge, experience and his personal touch. I would highly recommend him to any individual or groups. Thank you so much and we hope to see you again. 5 stars!

Armie, the guide of our school tour to Chungking Mansions last week, was just amazing. He demonstrated a real passion for promoting cultural diversity and inclusivity in Hong Kong. He weaved the places we checked out and stories of our guest speakers into a broader – but often forgotten – narrative of the city’s history with refugees and asylum seekers.
Armie was very attentive to our students and was always ready to answer their questions. Our students, most of them had never set foot in the building, have learnt a great deal about the other side of the city they grew up in. Many found the tour very eye-opening and inspiring, and they wish it could have been longer too.
If you are looking for an urban outing that is both exciting and educational – this is the one for you! Thank you Armie and Hong Kong Free Tours!

Armie has an impressive knowledge of the history and culture of everywhere he takes you. He keeps it fun, interesting, and relaxed as you experience the local flavors and culture of Hong Kong. I enjoyed it all--including getting the chance to go to an old dim sum restaurant still operating in the original way, as well as a traditional tea ceremony. I learned a lot! Armie is a great person with a good heart, so don't hesitate to book your tour with him.

We booked a food tour with Armie in November 2022 and loved every minute of this experience! We are all Hong Kong expats and loved discovering new places in our own neighborhoods that we had overlooked or were too hidden to find ourselves. Armie is extremely knowledgeable and personable, he made the experience fun and entertaining and I learned a lot! We sat down for dim sum, tried herbal teas, ate a classic egg custard tart and finished with a Michelin recommended shrimp wonton noodle soup. In between food stops he shared stories about his own life and about Hong Kong history that went way beyond food. We are already planning our next tour with Armie!

Armie was recommended for my group who wanted to see a different side of HK, since we’ve seen the ritz and glitz of the city before. Armie organized a personalised tour that took us down memory lane and some seldom-seen parts, which really captured the essence and life of everyday HK that the flyby tourist doesn’t see. Extremely interesting and educational, full of culture and experimentation, and the best walking tour I have ever been on! Highly recommended.

Our School organized a Culture Tour in Sai Wan for non-Chinese-speaking secondary students, letting students know more about cultural diversity and inclusivity.
Thank you Armie, the trip's guide, for sharing a lot of interesting folk stories & self stories, making this tour more insightful than I expected. This is the best Culture Tour that I have ever been to.
Armie is knowledgeable and helpful. He helped to translate whatever those store owners said, in order to let the students have a better understanding. Armie gave us a detailed explanation, the translation was very clear, we enjoyed the stories and the trip a lot! Excellent experience!

I couldn't recommend Armie enough for all things tours and recommendations in Hong Kong. Armie took us around Lamma Island, has a great knowledge of the destination but most importantly he makes the trip so fun, you do not feel like you are on a guide instead hanging out with a group of friends whilst learning so much about the local culture. Armie introduced us to so many local restaurants, small local businesses and bars in and around Lamma Island. Aside from the tour, I contacted Armie for some advice regarding a restaurant recommendation in Hong Kong and he was more than happy to assist me! If you are ever in Hong Kong - You do not want to miss out on booking a tour with him.

We had an amazing and very meaningful learning experience with Armie. We were a group of 20 High School students plus 2 teachers. Armie took us to very interesting places and taught us so many things about old traditions in Hong Kong. Armie explained everything very clear and our students were very engaged with his stories. We hope to repeat the experience with Armie next year and we recommend his guiding tour very much.

I went on two excursions with Armie so far, HK Island Cultural & Heritage Tour and Lamma Island. Both tours guided by Armie were super great. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly, very sociable, and easy to get along with. He also makes an effort to know what we want to see, experience, and learn. In the future, I would tour with him again and would recommend others around me to tour with him.
