My wife and I held our wedding reception with Hong Kong Yachting in August 2023, and would highly recommend their services. Despite our event not being the most common purpose for chartering a yachting company in Hong Kong, we nevertheless found that Hong Kong Yachting were able to provide a highly tailored service that was befitting of the occasion.

From establishing first contact through to the day of the event, all communications and requests were dealt with in a timely and professional manner, additionally I would add that Tracey (Operation Executive) was very helpful in either accommodating our specific needs or suggesting suitable alternative choices where appropriate. The process of booking the yachts and completing any necessary paperwork was smooth and efficient.

On the day of the event the boarding process occurred on time and all guests were immediately catered for and looked after well by the captain and his entire team. The food and drink was of a very high standard, with a quality that was excellent and pleasantly surprised us, given that the final dinner preparation occurred on the yachts. All guests received their chosen menu choices and the feedback we heard from other guests regarding each of the available choices (Rib-Eye Steak, Pork Rack or Vegetarian), was very positive.

We were returned to the Central Pier on-time at the end of the charter, with lots of smiles from all the guests. We have received many comments from our guests since to say how much they enjoyed the event.

Thank you Hong Kong Yachting!

I don't often leave reviews, but I came across others who had similar experiences and it should change. I fully agree that the two old crew members, the Captain and his wife possibly, are extremely rude.
I'm almost 30 years old but they treated us all like children, not letting me touch the music controls, even though it sounded like the bass was silenced for the 1st hour, or even pour our own drinks.
They hid drinks and said they had ran out, we saw they had many bottles of sparkling wine hidden, but they just shooed us away when we asked for them, as we paid for 'free flow.'
We brought a huge amount of Mexican food with us, many of us didn't eat much and all agreed we would have it when we got off the boat. However, the staff had gathered all the perfectly wrapped, unopened food and threw it in the bins without asking a soul if we wanted it.
Then they got really aggressive and in our faces when we tried to take some of the food back. All of that for a much higher price than all others I've been on.

Tracey Li, Operations Executive is responsive and courteous. I've used HK Yachting twice now in the space of one year and I have no hesitation in recommending them. The last time was a couple of weeks ago. The trip before that was in October 2020. This latter one was rescheduled 3x due to Covid then one more time due to a T3 signal.

The Captain and boat crew were professional, discreet and took good care of us.

I have now used this company 3 times. The 2 I will mention are Junkboat with Families and Dinner Junkboat.

We went with 6 families on a day junk from 10:30am to 5:30pm. The kids ranged from 9 to 16. The boat had a slide, trampoline, mats and a banana boat. The Captain took us to Clearwater Bay. We brought all our food and the crew set everything up from lunch. First class day on the water.

We also had a different junk boat evening dinner with 6 couples. The company provided dinner. Everyone had a great time. I was also able to negotiate spending more time on the water for trip before the trip.

Tracey Li (Operations Executive) was responsive and professional over the many months we were in contact as our original charter was scheduled for the end of July. Due to Covid, it was rescheduled twice and then once more due to a T3 alert.

The day (Monday 26 October 2020) we finally got out on the water was well worth the wait as weather-wise, it was a stunning Autumn day. The Captain was proficient navigating the choppy harbour (lots of junks out as it was a public holiday) and his assistant was very helpful with ensuring our whole trip was pleasant.

We were 4 families with teenage children.

We had a very interesting container port tour with explanations how it all works there, logistics, stories about pirates, then a round of swimming next to some beach, then very good food (did not think it would be that good, barbecue meat, sausages, a super tasty salad, vegetarian lasagne, bread, chicken, a bit later cake and brownies and of course the free flow drinks), we had a total relax on the yacht, with wind into the faces that was great on this hot day, in the end there was a walk through an abandoned village Ma Wan. Overall we spent a very good time and have to say Jess does it great, providing interesting explanations and being really friendly, nice and attentive to all the passengers and making it an educational but still very pleasant trip. Cool thing to do.

I've lived in Hong Kong for close to 10 years, and must have passed the container yards countless countless times - on a bridge, on the water, on an airport train. It was such a great opportunity to get up close and personal with it! Everything we learned was so interesting and understandable and brought the world of container ships to life. To top it off with a lovely boat ride, friendly service, delicious food, a walk around a deserted village - just a great experience!

This was a great trip to see some little known sides of Hong Kong that even after living here for a while we hadn't seen before. Jess was a charming and warm host and her talk on the workings of the container port (and pirates!) was fascinating and held the attention of the young and old alike in our party (kids ages 10-12). We really enjoyed the 'ghost' village as well - very atmospheric and something we'd heard about but never seen for ourselves. Highly recommend for something a bit different from the usual junk trip.
