On weekend evenings, Avenue of Stars at dusk is very crowded. A group of people wearing matching red and yellow hats were marching in a sloppy procession, and a commemorative photo competition was held with Victoria Bay in the background. I wanted to wander from the clock tower to the Brucely statue, but I gave up on the idea because the walk, stitching through people, was going to take a lot of time and I was going to get separated from my companion.
Then we took the camera to take a commemorative picture ... but we left early in a state of disorder, being pushed across the street without any hesitation, or barging into the wall without hesitation.

Visited Avenue of Stars on a rainy Saturday evening. Avenue of Stars is originally modelled on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and many of the Hong Kong’s entertainment stars are immortalised through their handprints and statues. The promenade was crowded when we visited, some sitting on the benches chatting while others were taking the obligatory photographs and soaking in the atmosphere. Not expecting much before we arrived, we actually enjoyed looking at the various memorabilia.

The statue of Bruce Lee is the main attraction here. One after another, visitors pose here in various positions, immitating the pose of Bruce Lee. There are several more statues near by.

Accross from the bay are the skyline buildings.

Visiting the Avenue of the Stars in Hong Kong was a memorable experience for my family and me. This iconic promenade, dedicated to honoring the contributions of the Hong Kong film industry, provided us with a perfect blend of culture, stunning views, and family fun.

Arrival and Atmosphere
As we arrived at the Avenue of the Stars, we were greeted by a vibrant atmosphere. The promenade is beautifully located along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, offering breathtaking views of the Victoria Harbour and the impressive skyline of Hong Kong Island. The lively energy of the area was palpable, with tourists and locals alike enjoying the scenery.

Highlights
Celebrity Handprints: One of the first things we noticed was the series of handprints and plaques honoring famous Hong Kong actors and filmmakers. It was exciting for my family to pose next to the handprints of stars like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. It was a fun way for us to connect with the film industry and learn more about its history.

Stunning Views: The panoramic views of the harbor were simply breathtaking. We took our time to soak in the sights, snapping photos and enjoying the gentle sea breeze. As the sun began to set, the skyline transformed into a magical scene with lights twinkling against the backdrop of the darkening sky.

Cultural Exhibits: Along the promenade, there were several informative displays about Hong Kong cinema. We appreciated the chance to learn about the rich history of the local film industry and its impact on global cinema. It sparked interesting discussions among us about our favorite movies and actors.

A Family-Friendly Environment: The Avenue of the Stars is a great place for families. There were plenty of benches and open spaces where children could run around. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll, stopping to take pictures and watch the ferries glide across the harbor.

Evening Show
One of the highlights of our visit was timing our trip to coincide with the Symphony of Lights show, which takes place every evening. As the buildings across the harbor lit up with colorful lights and the music filled the air, we found ourselves captivated. It was a fantastic way to end our evening at the Avenue of the Stars.

Conclusion
Overall, visiting the Avenue of the Stars was a delightful experience for my family and me. The combination of cultural insights, stunning views, and family-friendly activities made it a highlight of our trip to Hong Kong. If you find yourself in the city, this is definitely a place worth visiting, whether you're a film buff or simply looking to enjoy the beautiful waterfront. We left with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation for Hong Kong's cinematic heritage.

Even if you have zero interest in these Hong Kong movie stars, it is a nice walk by the harbor. If you time it right, you can see the Symphony of Light show at 8 pm every evening. If you don't like the crowds, go at a different time - it is still worth it because of the fantastic view of the Hong Kong city view.

I've been here many times during different times of the day. Usually, it is to take a breath of fresh air from being inside too long. Lots of benches and places to sit. I would bring a drink or some food because there are relatively few options on the actual promenade.

Yeah, this is a must do while you are in Hong Kong.

Viewed another section of the avenue, interesting but still didn't recognise any of the names that we viewed. I didn't notice any new artworks since visiting in 2023. Bruce still maintains his fighting stance and is a magnet for the selfie brigade, especially young females.

On the banks of Victoria Harbor is the Avenue of Stars, a street that pays tribute to the great names of Chinese cinema, including the most famous of them: Bruce Lee. A life-size statue of the actor is displayed in the heart of the avenue, sharing the attention of tourists with the Walk of Fame, much like the Hollywood version.

The Avenue of Stars is an attraction that honors Hong Kong artists and celebrities linked to the film industry. The place brings together some statues of Hong Kong personalities and an area with molds of the hands of various artists. Hong Kong stands out for the production of films in Asia and one of its greatest symbols is the actor Bruce Lee, who was born in the USA, but when he was young he lived in Kowloon and also has parents from Hong Kong. 👏👏👏

It is the place where the TST promenade in the south of the Kaohsiung Peninsula rebirthed as a commemoration of Hong Kong's film industry in 2004. It was reopened at the end of January 2019 after rebuilding in August 2015 and celebrating the achievements of numerous film actors familiar to the Koreans. It is an important place to see the northern economic district of Hong Kong Island, which is the symbol of Hong Kong.

This is definitely one of the famous and popular tourist destinations in Hong Kong. It's a long stretch that runs along Victoria Harbour, giving you a wonderful view of the Hong Kong skyline across the harbor and of shopping malls, museums and hotels on the other. You'll also see metal handprints of famous Chinese stars here (like Jackie Chan and Jet Li). At night, you can catch a glimpse of the amazing "Symphony of Lights" where the skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island simultaneously turn on their lights and make them dance to the sound of a music.
