We participated in two holiday games with HK a la carte, and both were great!
The challenges are relevant and make exploring Hong Kong fun. We discovered many places we had no idea existed in the city and on the surrounding islands.
The organizers are very knowledgeable and can share great tips and facts.
Overall, I recommend them to anyone who wants to discover or rediscover Hong Kong in a fun, unconventional way!

We booked the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tour. Our wonderful guide Stephanie took us through Sheung Wan and especially at the start and finish of the tour she explained the principles behind TCM with many examples and took us to the locations to see and experience TCM for ourselves. Throughout the 3-hour tour Stephanie shared her expertise of the history of Hong Kong in general and the events that happened in this neighbourhood specifically.
The whole experience from first contact, info provided upfront and the tour itself was excellent and very flexible. Thanks Stephanie!

Staying in HK this summer with the family we did the Holiday game organized by Hong Kong a la carte ( the two sessions) and it was a great way to discover Hong Kong. Despite being in HK for over 20 years we have discovered places and enjoyed the variety of visits. This is a very exiting Quest.

1st trip to HK for work and only one free day to explore the city.
Accompanied by Betina, the experience was incredible. Friendly, dynamic and enriching. Enough to want to start again. I highly recommend to be amazed in a short time...

I learned so much throughout this tour! As someone who is interested in medicine and healing, being able to learn about the history and culture surrounding Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong was perfect for me. My tour guide Stephanie was very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed this tour.

Since we couldn't travel anywhere because of Covid, we participated in the wonderful Holiday Game that Alex and Stephanie created for those of us living in Hong Kong.. We not only learned a lot more about Hong Kong (despite I have lived here 30 years), we had a lot of fun figuring out clues, learning about the local arts and culture, cooked and tasted local foods, and discovered new shopping malls. We didn't know there are still some British colonial style post boxes on Hong Kong island and outer island too! It was an eye-opening experience being a local tourist! What better way to spend the summer! Alex and Stephanie put a lot of thought into the game and their personal touch is much appreciated! I would highly recommend any tours organised by HK Ala Carte. I will definitely be a returning customer!

What a wonderful trip, the sights of Macau 🇲🇴
We were professionally driven around by Michel (Ablelda). He was full wonderful information and helpful insights into Macau.
Traditional Portuguese lunch was fabulous - mush try is the ceviche pig’s ears.
The organisation was faultless and there was great communication. Highly recommend, as it was one of our highlights. We were staying in Hong Kong and everything was awesome
