Our guide Andy answered all our questions prior to the tour which gave us a feeling of safety and assurance since this was our first bike tour and we didn’t know what to expect. We were picked up from the hotel and we were also booked a cab back home. The tour was very informative and interesting. It was personalized according to our fitness levels and our interests. We recommend Smooth Ride and the countryside tour! What a great way to experience Hong Kong with family and friends on the saddle.

Fabulous immersion in a different “hong kong” with a great guide. This tour is easy, no need to be an experienced biker. There are some stunning sceneries but also very interesting parts of HongKong country side buildings. Highly recommended for families and anyone who wants to see something different from the bursting city center

Booked a private tour with Andy and brought my two girls 10 & 13 along. It was a perfect way to enjoy the scenic countryside. Andy was great and all of us had a fantastic time. Definitely doable for kids around our kids age. Took about 4hrs with plenty of stops to take pictures and take in the sights of the surrounding area. Bikes were comfortable and meeting point was convenient. We would recommend to anyone looking for some outdoor activity.

We had a great day with Andy on the Cheung Chau bike tour. Lot's of interesting places and cultural events. Especially the background information, helped us to better understand rituals and cultural behavior. Thanks Andy, worth the day!

I enjoyed a lot this tour! Andy was a great guide. He is very friendly and has a fund of knowledge. Highly recommended!

We did a cycle tour with Andy from a Smooth Cycles, my daughters snd I met him at Pier 5 where we caught the fast ferry over to Cheng Chau Island.
Andy gave us a bit of a history of Hong Kong in the way.

Once on the island we were given our bikes, really comfortable and easy to ride.
We visited Pak Tai Temple where we burnt incense sticks and had the opportunity to pray a wonderful experience.

We visited the Community Hall where Andy explained about the Bun festival that they have on the island.

We had the opportunity to go to a Souvenir Shop and shop for local handmade goods, Andy got us some local street food to try.

We cycled to East Bay where we saw the damage made by the typhoon and the famous stone cravings.

We went to Cheung Chau seafood and fruit and veg market where we saw the freshest seafood. Andy explained that people come and choose their seafood for restaurants to cook for them.

We then cycled to West Bay where we got the local ferry back to the pier.

Andy explained things along the way, we cycled through small streets and through the local neighbourhood.

The cycling tour is geared for anyone who can cycle, it was about 6km some small uphill areas but generally flat and very enjoyable. Thank you Andy.

We took a three hour countryside tour with Andy, and it was outstanding. The ride was not overly strenuous but was still a good workout. Andy took us to many historical sites and the highlight was visiting some of the villages of the original/native clans that settled Hong Kong. We also stopped at a local recreational center/restaurant for drinks and pudding...Andy was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our (many!) questions. He was also very friendly and understanding. This is a tour we would recommend to anyone, especially those who have already seen enough of the city and want to get outside of it to see what else Hong Kong has to offer. A++

We booked the 'City Heritage Bike Tour'. Unfortunately the tour did not start well. We arrived at 9am to find Andy had forgotten that my wife needed a step through bike and we had to wait until 10am until he could get into his lock up to get one for her.

We had also told Andy that our son was 6' 6" tall so he would need a large frame bike but he only had small frame bikes available. However as you tour China you soon realise that is all hire shops offer..

So not a good start but once the Tour started things quickly improved. Andy is a really nice friendly guy and a great guide. There is plenty of easy cycling but also just the right number of stops where Andy was able to tell us about the history of Hong Kong and point out other notable sites and buildings. His English is perfect and he is very easy to understand.

We also asked to stop for something to eat and he took us to a very nice cheap restaurant for a quick but very enjoyable lunch.

The whole route was on Hong Kong's main roads which could have been very scary but luckily for us it was a Sunday so the traffic was very light and we never felt worried in any way. Andy made sure we were very safe at all times.

All in all a very enjoyable 3 hour tour and great way to see downtown Hong Kong.
