We had such an amazing day with Edith last week. It started with a trip to the wet market. We learnt lots of useful tricks for future visits. This was followed by a morning spent cooking at her gorgeous home. Would truly recommend! The food was unreal, our teacher hilarious, extremely knowledgeable and welcoming and a fantastic way to learn some local recipes and cooking tips! Great for expats living in HK or travellers who come to visit (once COVID19 is gone!)

I took the local cooking experience by myself. A newcomer to Hong Kong, I wanted to learn how to cook and shop locally. I was a bit intimated by the local markets and this class helped me navigate through the markets, distinguish different ingredients and use new techniques to cook. Edith was very helpful and great in the kitchen! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about local cooking or shopping.

Cooking with Edith was a beautiful experience, funny and informative. First, we visited a local market to buy the products. Edith shared tips on what to buy and answered my many questions. The cooking was relatively straightforward and a much fun. We made a steamed grass carp, crystal noodles with soybean sprouts, and an amazing eggplant dish with minced pork and preserved fish. The entire cooking lesson lasted 4 hours. Absolutely recommended.

Thank you! It was a good laugh and the food wasn't so bad either :). It was a smart move to switch to the eggplant dish. Encourages new flavours and aromatics! Edith - LCE
