Thank you Wildchina for an incredible trip to Guilin and Gansu! We had a wonderful time, and think we learned more about Chinese history, traditions, and culture in two weeks than we have in almost two years of living in China. Alice helped with the planning and made many efforts to adjust to focus on a variety of interests we had, from touristy sites to off the beaten path. Michael and Peter were wonderful. Michael had good focus on the most unexplored areas of Guilin/Yangshou and took us on hikes we surely would have never been able to find on our own or any other trip. Peter was an expert on all things Silk Road and Buddhism history. We felt like we were traveling with an expert guide and historian, who could fill us in on any number of key historical concepts or lessons during our train rides and car rides around the country. He was flexible and adaptable, and made the whole experience incredible.…

Hi Alisse, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We really appreciate your feedback and are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your journey planning experience with Alice and your time with Michael and Peter. We always encourage our guides to treat guests like they would a friend and take you off-the-beaten-path. It's wonderful to hear that we achieved that for you on this trip. We have shared your feedback with the team and hope that we get the opportunity to show you more of China soon. Warm regards, The WildChina team.

Wild China gave our family (party of 4 with two 20 something children) a truly memorable, first class touring adventure around China, a once in a lifetime experience that we will remember and treasure forever. Earlier in the year, we worked with one of their local representatives (Shiming Zuo) to identify our travel preferences, desires and concerns and Wild China could not have been more flexible with us. Shiming really listened to what we wanted in the planning phase—adding suggestions that we would never have thought about and making sure that our itinerary was full, but not overloaded. She was always available via email (even on weekends) and we did have two long conversations as the trip neared. Once or trip was underway, we were impressed with the WC local tour guides and their drivers. In each city/area, we were met by a guide who was extremely experienced in the local sites as well as out of the way attractions, and were all good English speakers. A lot of the highlights for us were not the usual tourist destinations (which we loved), but rather the more personal cultural experiences throughout our itinerary. We will always remember our family reflexology in Beijing, our time in the Hutongs in Beijing with the cricket master, our private Tai Chi class with a master at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, our special dinner party with the Naxi family in Yunnan province, making dumplings and trying to make cheese, and even an ear cleaning at Wangjianglou Park in Chengdu. I would never have thought to include any of these in our trip, and yet they became some of the most special family bonding moments of the trip. This was our first private tour anywhere. We tend to research a place and do it “our way.” This trip changed my view of traveling—so much of what we did and saw could not have been accomplished on our own, and certainly without any knowledge of Mandarin. And throughout the trip, we luxuriated in the knowledge we were in the safe and savvy hands of Wild China. They made the trip extraordinary—I never could have arranged what they did and as seamlessly. We would highly recommend WildChina to anyone who is thinking about taking a trip to China and would not hesitate to book another tour with them again!…

We have taken many great journeys with WildChina in the past. This trip was definitely the one on the shortest notice, just 6 days before we left for China :) Nevertheless, Fann Feng and Jenny put together a great itinerary of sights and cultural experiences. We visited Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace in Beijing, hiked several hours on the Great Wall with hardly any tourists around, exercised with locals in a park, practised tai chi and learned about Traditional Chinese Medicine, all under a perfectly blue sky. Furthermore, in Shanxi province, we explored the ancient town of Pingyao, Jinci Temple, the hanging temple and the Yungang grottos near Datong. All are amazing sights we definitely recommend to visit. Both of our guides, Mr An and Abraham, we recommend highly: Very passionate, knowledgable and insightful. And we appreciate the local cuisine recommendations. Everything was running very smoothly with the exception of our flight back to Beijing where we got trapped in Datong by the first snowstorm of the year. WildChina came to the rescue even at very late hours by being on the phone constantly with airline and hotel agents making sure we ended up in a hotel and on a flight out the next morning. On the bright side, this gave us the experience to see Beijing's palaces in white. 5+ stars for WildChina!…

Dear Mr & Mrs Kretz, Thank you so much, once again, for traveling to China with us. It is always a pleasure, no matter the timeline, to plan something for you. We're so glad you got to experience Beijing in the snow, although we are sorry for the flight delays. We think seeing the Summer Palace blanketed in white hopefully made up for any annoyances though! We can't wait to see you here again, and we wish you the very best for 2020 and all the years and adventures ahead. Best, Jenny & the WildChina team

Our family has travelled to China on numerous occasions and Wild China has provided the best experiences. Ms Mei Zhang vast knowledge of China has given an excellent guidance and she has an uncanny ability in zeroing on places that might pique our interests. Ms. Fann Fang, the Travel Planner Specialist, has been patient in our many, many demands and able to fulfill them and more. She checked in on us during our trip to make sure that we are well taken care of. The guides in every cities are friendly, accomodating, hospitable and more importantly resourceful. Despite my elderly parent limited accessibility, the guides have been patient and resourceful in ensuring that they have full immersion in their experiences as well. For this, I am grateful. Thank you to the team at Wild China for making it a wonderful trip.…

Our family had a superb trip to Kashgar and Tashkurgan thanks to Wild China. Travel Designer Shiming Zuo was excellent in working with us to plan the trip. She was insightful, knowledgeable, and very responsive in dealing with us thirteen hours away. Our guide Daji and driver Enver in Kashgar were both very nice, most attentive, and ensured we had a good experience. We recommend them highly as well. And we recommend bicycling back from Tashkurgan. There's nothing like coming around a corner to wild camels and yaks! Five stars all around.…
