I went on a group tour and we only had around 2 hours free time to explore, not quite enough! It is a steep walk up from the carpark to the gateway of the cable cars. You can purchase either round trip cable car or...More

I got here as early as possible, just as it opened. This was great as there were very few others there and I pretty much had the wall to myself. As one of the 7 wonders of the world, it was cool to see, although...More

It took a coach, a cable car, an elevator and a hill climb to get there but what an experience when you did arrive in the ‘clouds’. I still can’t believe that I walked on the Great Wall of China

Went up with the cable cars and then we took the hike up to the old part of the wall. In order to go there you should go up, and not down. There you will find also fewer people (precisely because many prefer to go...More

We happened to have a fantastic day and the weather couldn’t have been better. Worth hiking to the top for the view. Also to avoid the crowds try and go during the morning and not on weekends.

It's $20USD for the package .... People over 60 are banned from riding ... so if you think you can do it, get your guide to get the tix for you and when you get to the toboggan down, just go for it.

To do it properly allow 2 hours to get to the top from tower 14 to tower 23 and an hour to come down to Tower 6. Hard work up but well worth it - best part of my trip
