Each time I walk through those doors and am greeted with majestic statuary, stunning jewelry creations and thousands more artistic gems, the genius of this ancient civilization once again awesome and inspires. Each time.

We went on Day 1 for 1.5 hours and needed to return the next day to complete the museum (another 3 hours).
There are so many things to see - it was amazing. It's a little disappointing that not all of the artifacts were labeled or had no information. The place is literally filled to the rafters with antiquities.
Seeing King Tut was definitely a check mark on the lifetime bucket list.

Absolutely worth a visit. So much too see. We went with our private guide and we were happy we did. There is so much to see, it was a good idea to go with someone who could show you the highlights.

Our visit in this Museum was full of sentiments, although some of them negative.
The place tends to be abandonded, let us see what happens when the new Museum in Giza is going to open.

I recently visited the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, and while it was a fascinating experience, there were a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, it's best to get there early as the museum can get quite crowded later in the day. Also, it's important to be prepared for crowds, as the museum is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Egypt.
The museum itself is home to a vast collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including mummies, hieroglyphics, and statues. The displays are quite extensive, but I found that many of them are in desperate need of updates. The lighting and labeling are not always the best, and some of the displays are a bit cramped.
Despite these shortcomings, the museum is still worth a visit. The artifacts on display are truly incredible, and it's fascinating to see the history and culture of ancient Egypt up close. The new museum will solve all the problem, which is currently under construction, this new museum will have more space, better lighting, and interactive displays that will enhance the visitor's experience.
Overall, I would recommend visiting the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, but be prepared for crowds and the fact that some of the displays are in need of updates.

So many artifacts to study. Plan on a good half day for your visit at least. There are 2 floors and the King Tut Exhibit.

Second visit after some 15 years, it looks like the gorgeous pieces would deserve more care. No doubt the exposition is fenomenal. However, it is massively overcrowded with many people who absolutely don´t care of others, pushing, skipping the lines, blocking the corridors, shouting - this is no good.

Creo que tienes que comprar en persona y tal vez en efectivo, dólares estadounidenses o euros solamente.
Y esa es la medida de mi español gringo

There are plenty of antiquities and mummies to see. Many beautiful breathtaking statues. Section of Tutankhamen is still there. I did not use a guide and went there myself. I was fine. Took my own time reading and looking and taking pics/ videos. There is nice shop inside the museum to buy souvenirs.

I bought tickets through the Museum's website but have not received a confirmation email or a copy of the tickets to show at the entrance. The tickets are for today. Do you know how I get my tickets? Thank you

Hi Jessy
This is probably too late for you, but may be helpful to someone else.
First, check your credit card to see if the charge went through.
Second, if it did, you can try contacting the Egyptian Monuments via Twitter or Facebook (links on on the EMonuments page where you bought the ticket).
Note the Egyptian Museum itself does not process the payments but Egyptian Monuments - a separate entity processes the payment.
Third, if the charge did not go through, you can buy a ticket at the ticket window at the Museum. Bring cash.
Why?
At several of the sites we went to see in Cairo in early October one couldn't use credit cards at the attraction , e.g., Sharia Muizz L'Din Allah.
And the wait isn't too long unless you arrive after several tour buses.
We had to wait about 10 minutes to get tickets when we came.

Don’t know the answer as the new museum was supposed to be open by then. If you have a hotel perhaps you can ask there.

When I was there in June a huge amount was either crated or being moved, But they were replacing the space with artifacts that had been unseen for decades.
