Had a long day at the Rock Islands and needed a place to relax. The Mesekiu has a long list of cold drinks and the menu food is massive. I recommend the great sunset drink it refreshing and has the right amount of alcohol to get you going. Oh the sunset here is awesome and if there's an overcast no problem the view of the Rock Island is breathtaking, just look at my photos from this trip. My stay here is always awesome and relaxing.

Palau is not short on dive operators but I specifically booked with PPDC due to the family like environment and they do not make you feel like you're just another customer.

They offered pick up and drop off to the airport which was terrifically helpful and convenience. Ubi drove us around Koror and took us to some of the local spots for lunch and dinner on our day or departure. We had to check out of our hotel at noon and was not flying out until after midnight due to the flight schedules for Koror and they were kind enough to help us find an inexpensive hotel to rest in until our flight. Beyond our expectations.

The diving itself does not need much describing. We had CJ as our divemaster and Allen as our captain, both amazing individuals who made what otherwise would've been non-ideal conditions (choppy seas, rainy) terrific. We got 9 dives in over 3 days and could not be happier with our experience. Hazel runs the shop and is terrific to work with, we sent her an email and was able to book our trip very easily.

The shop has both Palau and Korean divemasters and our group of 4 was just the perfect size. The weather did not cooperate so we were not able to make it out to the famed blue corner which means we're coming back, and there is no other choice for us but PPDC on our next visit.

We have never been with another dive shop in Palau. Splash has dive guides that are Palau-an. The groups are small. The groups are divided according to expertise. The care is excellent. The boat could use some sprucing; but it's more about the quality of the guides and the diving.

On Palau you find many dive shops including some of the big commercial ones. We first joined SAM's tours for a kayak trip and a dive trip. Which was great but hugely commercial and pretty un personal due to the size of the company. The others have a lot of Chinese divers who are not so good in swimming and diving. So we looked onward for a more personal aproach.

Then we on our way back to the island of Koror we came across Palau Pacific Dive Center. It's run by an amazing friendly South Korean girl named Hazel (in English). She introduced us right away to the team, the cat and the parot and offered us coffee to talk about our travels and dive whishes. Next to this warm welcome we were offered a much better price for our dives than any of the places we visited.

As I am not able to dive due to an ear problem I was offered to go snorkeling at Manta Bowl and Blue Corner. At SAM's tours I was not even allowed to join the boat.

At our dive day, we were again welcomed with coffee and met our boat driver Allen. Troy, a South Korean dive master who would take the Korean couple out diving. And CJ, the extremely funny and friendly Palauwan dive master. Unfortunatley Hazel had to stay at the office and couldn't join us. However, this became our best day at Palau.

CJ did a great job in guiding my girlfriend around Manta Bowl and Blue Corner due to the personal approach. I was able to snorkel with Allan watching my back for drift and other boats. We had some of the most amazing dives and snorkels ever.

So if you are looking for a flexible and friendly dive company, this is one you should definitely pay a visit. You find Palau Pacific Dive Center on Malakal Island, after the bridge from Koror to Malakal and opposite of the Sea Passion Hotel. Coming from Koror it is on your left, look for a red building next to the water.

I'm an advanced open water diver with experiences in about 5 countries, and this was my second diving trip to Palau. Last time I visited Palau 5 years ago I dived with one of the biggest operators in Palau and this time I did with this comparatively new and small operators called PPDC, and it turned out to be the best decision. We loved it in every aspect. After the research on the diving operators in Koror, the only concern I had about PPDC was their experience because it looked pretty new and I thought that's why they were offering more competitive prices than others. But, I was absolutely wrong.

In terms of the facilities and the equipment, they have all the new and well-maintained Scubapro gears for a rental and the center is small but very clean and organized. They even took care of the small details, for example, by preparing neoprene jacket for every single person for a windy boat ride or hot shower on the way out of the boat in the chilly late afternoon, or even daily dive log with hand drawn pictures! Also, the center is located at the best area to sit down and chill watching the beautiful sea. Their handmade wooden signs, the cute little cat Leo and the other animals will also make you feel home.

In addition, one of the owners, Hazel, has lived in Palau for 20 years, and she knows pretty much everything about the area. We went out for the food at the restaurants she recommended every night and they never failed. Palau had been an expensive place with so-so food and nothing much to do other than diving to me for the past 5 years but now it's totally changed.

I guess no explanation is needed for the diving itself. We dived into famous points including blue corner, blue hole, wrecks, German channel, Grassland, and Siaes tunnel. One of us did the Advanced Open Water diving course, and her instructor Sean was very passionate and tried to teach as much as possible. It was one of the best trips we've had together, and we are so coming back to PPDC for another happy memories for sure.
