- Taz68HarrowSutton, United Kingdom307 contributionsDefinitely worth a tripLovely beach to relax on and a walkway along the promenade where you can take a long walk and watch the world go by. Felt safe as very open with security. Large tall buildings in the background and places to eat in the area. Worth a visit for sure.Visited December 2022Written 28 December 2022
- Darren99999Aylesbury Vale, United Kingdom528 contributionsGreat beachA terrific beach, clean and not too busy. The water is clean with lifeguards. Priced at just 12DHR per entry, I found this reasonable. Staying at local hotels, free tickets to the beach are given out so ask at reception. Parking across the road is fine but make sure you pay the correct rate….Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 April 2023
- Kobe VansevenantPoperinge, Belgium14 contributionsIf you pay, it's fun to stayPaying to go on the beach?! Well, that was a concept unknown to us. Pretty expensive aswel if you wanted a chair and an umbrella with it. Once paid, the beach itself was really nice, and beautiful. There was a food shack and i must say, even tho we orded fries and burgers/wraps/hotdogs, the food was insanely good. I mean, that women knew what she was doing! If you are willing to pay for it, i would recommend this beach.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 17 July 2023
- TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, Minnesota3,188 contributionsUnderwhelming ExperienceGoing to Corniche Beach was actually pretty disappointing. The skyscrapers of Abu Dhabi behind you are pretty cool but the beach itself was underwhelming. There is a fee for entry which wasn't significant and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas to rent. Since Al Lulu Island is directly across, the beach doesn't sit on open ocean. No waves and not overly scenic with the island directly across. Not being able to have a couple beers while out on the beach added to the less than good experience.Visited November 2022Written 27 July 2023

We stayed at the Sheraton in Cornish beach. There is beach enclave directly in the hotel. Warm and clean water. Very calm.

This is a large sandy beach along the Abu Dhabi corniche with modern skyscrapers as background. Upmarket restaurants and hotels are plentiful. Hence the strip between the beach and the highway is suitable for sports such as running and cycling.
There is a fee for accessing the part of the beach with facilities (toilets and showers), but the bigger part is free to visit. During the day it can be very hot and there is hardly any shade. Early morning and during the evenings temperatures are more pleasant and there sometimes is a breeze.
Do not expect waves, as just opposite the beach is Lulu island.
Water temperatures are high.

Well maintained public beach with clear waters, lifeguards and cafes. Long stretches of white sand. Perfect place for hot day!

is it safe to walk along the beach and corniche road say between emirates palace and the hilton hotel at night?

Yes it is very very safe we did walk many times when we were there. Over all in my opinion the UAE is a very safe and secure place so one need not worry. But it is always wise to be a little cautious of things.
