We landed there in the afternoon which was not the most ideal time to go as it was empty. Evenings are the best time to visit this market

I was in Mid-January and weather was excellent for a afternoon walk and had lunch. Plenty of choice. Very clean and whole atmosphere is quite nice. Plenty of cafes and a few souvenir shops too.

Fantastic display of history meets modern day. Wonderful to wonder through all the hallways and stop in the shops for many unique treasures. Best to go in the fall and winter months as it get very hot in the summer.

A very interesting ramble was had through the Souq. Such an interesting and different amount of goods on display. Stopped in one of the street side restaurants for lunch, which was both tasty and reasonable.

We were led on a tour by a local guide and so a rather fleeting exposure to the sights and sounds of this market. We were ushered down narrow alleys to a public toilet which was a welcome relief to many and acceptably clean. There...More

There are taxis available, but I do not know what the fare would be. Most of the places in the Souq only take cash. The currency is the Qatari Riyal. There are plenty of ATMs around the Souq, and there are currency... More

There are plenty of kid-friendly places to go to in Qatar. It's a very child-friendly country, sometimes too much so. I also co-sign the Villaggio recommendation to go to the Kid Zone.
