This is a beautiful gate which it's history traced back to the 16th century and beyond the gate is the market within the Old city of Jerusalem.

Damascus Gate is located in the northwestern part of the city, and access is very easy, with public transportation. It is one of the busiest access roads in Cetate, so do not rush and forget to watch the tip of the gate where you will see the inscribed name of the city on time of the Roman Empire - Aelia Capitolina. If you go on the main road between the Damascus Gate and the Zion Gate, you will find the Christian and Armenian quarters, on the right, and on the left, the Muslim quarter and then the Jewish quarter.…
