We arrived around 14.15 museum
Opens at 14.00 incredible hot and airless. After a while the electricity was turned on and we had lights and some fans. The staff were the most disinterested I have come across at any tourist attraction in Vietnam. The gallery comprises of the ground and first floor. The ground floor has nothing in English but the first floor has good signage in Vietnamese, French and English. There is apparently an audio guide too. The museum has some interesting memorabilia and photos and gives you a flavour of Uncle Ho’s amazing life.
If you have plenty of time go for it, if you have limited time there are far better museums

Semi interesting propaganda from the government point of view of Vietnam wat and Ho Chi Minh role. Personal objects, such as a shoe box, exposed as great value articles. Tons of letters hand written , allegedly, by Ho Chi Mihn, and pretty much that's it.
Not really worth the time.

The Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue is open from 07 to 11 in the morning and from 1.30 to 4 in the afternoon. Entrance is free. The main exhibition is located on the first floor. Red arrows on the floor point you in the right direction.
There are many old photos and documents. There is a caption for every item. The captions are in three languages: Vietnamese, French and English. The exhibition on the first floor covers Ho Chi Minh's life. The exhibition on the ground floor covers the time since his death in 1969.
You are allowed to take photos. Unfortunately, many items are placed behind glass and this means that it is difficult to take a good picture of them.
[Please notice: one photo posted on this page shows the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi and one photo posted here shows the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi. It seems some people are rather careless when posting. Why does TripAdvisor approve photos when it is clear that they are submitted to the wrong page?]

As a former citizen of USSR, i was not impressed by this propagandist creature. I saw too much "uncle Lenin cabins" to believe that guy who went to same school with imperial princes and shortly thereafter was student in Paris really lived there, and then came back to fight unequality.

This is an socialist two floor building in which is shown the early life of Uncle Ho since when his father got a scholarship to study in Hue and took the whole family with him. Good step I must say.
If you don't know nothing about his personality it will be interesting to you to take a look for not more than an hour.

This review is quite late. The Ho Chi Minh museum is one of the less visited attractions in Hue. Most of the tours are geared towards the royal tombs, Thien Mu Pagoda and the Citadel. I happened to pass by this museum by chance from the train station. There was a small entrance fee but the displays are decent enough to make it worth the trip.

This isn't the biggest museum in the world but it gives you enough information. If you know a little bit about HCM or do a bit of research before you go it will help. There are signs in English and lots of photographs and original letters etc. to keep you entertained for an hour or so.

It took us a long time to visit this, but since we stayed in phu cam it was on our way this time. We had seen several ho chi Minh museum including of course hanoi, but we agreed this one was a very good one. Sadly enough only few people seem to know it. Ho chi minh stayed in Hue several years so everywhere there are links everywherethisboutstanding leader and great man.The exhibits gave an excellent impression of him and his times. A great must see for all vietnam fans. We will be back there.soon!

It's not worth for money since I visited Ho Chi Minh museum in Hanoi, Saigon many years ago. All the documents are similar. You cant find anything new from this place.

Every visitor back from vietnam will know that every sizeable city of prominence in vietnam will house a hochiminh museum. This is one such IN hue. Housed in a two level structure, the Pictures and the Items on display is sure Impressive. There is also a Audio - Visual Place where documentaries must be aired.
The downside is that all the displays are accompanied by Vietnamese Language explanations only. IF u r a foreigner u just cant figure out what the significance of the Picture or the item on display has. very few pictures on the first floor of the museum has english descriptions.
The facility is free for locals just as everyother attraction in vietnam is. The Girl at the reception politely informed that there is a 10,000VND fee for foreigners and offered no ticket for the price. Not quite sure if it was a official charge or not.
The place is almost virtually empty through the day as rarely anyone visits the place.
