In the middle of a residential block this pagoda suddenly appears. There is a 2 story building where people pray plus some potted plants and trees. Nice to come across.

The pagoda is tastefully decorated. It is a classic and balanced building. But you cannot enter nor can you climb up inside. There are locked gates. The temple grounds are worth strolling around. During lunar new year, the gardens are full of yellow flowering trees and huge pots of yellow chrysanthemums. The actual temple on the second level is small, almost personal, and the Buddha who dominates the wall is a classic ageless bronze massive. There are story panels on the walls with a helpful guide to the life of the Buddha. A weeping willow and some starfruit trees help to add grace and with the statues provides a calm atmosphere away from the Saigon traffic.
