If you go visting Vietnam and you go to ho chi Minh.tgen take a busy to the an dong market.about a 15 minute taxis ride from sagion. Cost about a 100 dong..(3.00 pound) it is a huge retail market for clothes and shoes and handbags and jewellery. Plus good food.nice out door cafe serving beautiful fresh food..inside on the 4th floor a terrific dim sum restaurant with amazing service. Go up another floor you have Windsor.hotel and restaurant where every night they do a all you can eat buffet for around 25.00 a head this includes drinks.the quality of service is 4 star and the choice of food is amazing. I would say you would have a choice of around 200 dishes from all around the world and this is 4 star food. I take my family of 25 and never disappointed because there is so much choice they are all happy...well worth every penny.

Went to An Dong Plaza on Dec 14 2017.GF was selling stuff like shoes, accessories, bags ,hats etc etc.Bought a cap on the GF and went up1st floor ,selling ladies clothing.Bought a jean shirt.2nd floor was selling ladies clothing as well .Did Not go up rest of the floor as there is nothing much to buy. The Merchants were not even bothered to look or talk to you,not frienly. They were busy eith their phone or chatting.Shop lots like pigeon holes, hardlynto walk around. Prices were very pretty expensive.I bought the two items as i came so far away and thought just buy something.Labels shown made in China. Not recommended to visit here as there can be found at other places or at your own country after all it is all Made in China.Similiar stuff.

This is actually a very local mall. It is a place where you would be able to get clothing materials and wooden antique at very attractive prices, provided you speak the Vietnamese language. This place is not very tourist friendly but you can certainly buy very good stuff here.

A local friend took us there. There are many shops and our friend took us to one of the shop to choose the material for making traditional Viet dress. After choosing the material, the shop calls for the tailor to come and take our measurement. Total cost including tailoring was 850,000 dong (tailor cost about 550,000 dong). This is super cheap compared to Melbourne prices. We were supposed to pick our clothes 5 days later unfortunately when we were at the tailor shop, it wasn't ready and we waited for an hour. However, luckily no further alteration was necessary when it was ready!

Staying at the Winsdor plaza hotel, ( really nice place to stay! ) Went next door for some novelty items walked the isles and found the shop merchants very unfriendly and prices were way too high and non negotiable. One shop wanted for a 250ml bottle of hair conditioner 200,000 VND and would not go into any bargaining at all with us so we walked away and she went back to eating her lunch
