This place is beautiful, and you will find both tourists and locals doing their shopping here. Street after street of shophouses offering a piece of Vietnam that every tourist can bring home - handicrafts, apparels, and even its very own coffee beans! While you are...More

The old quarter is so full of charm and intrigue, it will keep you busy for hours. Once you get beyond the frenetic roads and learn how to navigate the bike-packed streets, there is so much to see and you really do get immersed in...More

This is a great district to stay in an explore. Plenty of food choices and lots of shopping. I stumbled upon a free student-led tour of the market streets here on my last day and really enjoyed the insights my guide provided.

A must-do activity especially when staying in the old quarter or somewhere in Hoan Kiem. I'm glad I had this tour with ny family.

Looks great at night. Very lively. Music all over. People dancing the Jive next to the lake. Great place to just sit and enjoy the view and take in the people walking and jogging. Lots of shopping too. But bargain hard.

We chose the Old Quarter on a whim, being tired of cities that have become sterile, cookie cutter copies of too many other cities, even too much like home. We were absolutely charmed by all the street life, bars, restaurants, food stalls, the Old Quarter...More

Old quarter is essentially a good place to stay for tourist looking to move around Hanoi. Bun Cha Dac Kim is nearby (famous bun cha - beware of fake one nearby)

In case you go to Hanoi you should walk or even carry a cycle ride (with rider) around the existing Quarter. This's exactly where everything is purchased and offered on the street. A wide array of sights scents and tastes. Each of this mixed in...More
