Our student tour guide through Hanoi Free Tour Guides took us here. It cost d30,000 per person, and the cost was well worth it. Beautiful courtyards that mixed spirituality with academics, symbolism with intellectual pursuit. There was a peacefulness to the area that made it...More

Well organised and cared for, this extensive site has something to feed the soul, the mind, or just those longing for a piece of tranquility. There is a small cafe, and good toilets. There are tour groups but they don’t linger. We saw some people...More

A beautiful and peaceful temple, we were lucky enough to visit around tet so there was a lot going on and many people visiting in their finery. The gardens and pretty and just opposite there is a lake which is also worth a visit.

Was expecting another 'temple' but this a delightful oasis in the middle of the city. Gardens are joy, and the history is moving.

Really enjoyed this as part of a city tour. Really good to see the courtyards and areas used by students over the years and hear stories of confucious method. Exams were obviously very tough as evidenced by small number of passes.

Place where all the students go to pray to get good grades and finish a school. Everyone, including students, need to pay an entrance fee, though. It seems that an education in this country is not for free.
