An interesting building from the nineteenth century with information about the thousands of Christian martyrs who perished in the country when Christianity was first brought to Indochina.

The cathedral is very beautiful & very well worth a visit. The Gothic style was excellent. They open every day. There are lots of small coffee shops around there & you can take a seat & enjoy great atmosphere!

This took us a bit of a walk to find as some of the smaller streets practically took us in circles trying to find the church. Looks a bit grim from the outside, like it needs a good powerhose or something. Inside was a different...More

It’s an interesting site, a cathedral in the heart of the old town, a mixture between different cultures in the old city of Hanoi. Plenty of comfortable small hotels and cosy restaurants in the narrow streets of the neighbourhood, a bit away from the chaotic...More

Nice quiet place, only wish the tourist will respect the signs in place. It's great that this great cathedral is still standing, and hopefully they have sufficient funds to maintain or even restore it in the future.

It is not a full sung mass. There are hymns and these are accompanied by the cathedral organ.
