Neighbourhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

Great Place to Enjoy the Cityscape and Escape the Heat
Wonderful place in Sathorn area to escape the scorching heat and enjoy the tranquility and nice city views. The park is clean and well maintained. Can also rent goats. Water monitor are very cute too.

    Great family park
Beautiful park in Bangkok. Very safe, guarded entrance. Playground, paddle boats and kayaks. We enjoyed several hours at this park. Going early as it’s much cooler, and enjoy your morning there

The best public park in busy city, Bangkok
Lumpini park is located in the center of the city. Anyone getting a chance to explore the city will often stop to rest at this peaceful park. I see some people visit for different purposes like partying, exercising, or even dating. For me, I usually go for a jog after school. The fresh air together with a serene blue sky always keeps me relaxing. Every time, I get stressed from work, I come and sit by the pond to appreciate the beautiful city view for some time. That really helps me a lot. That's why I will recommend Lumpini Park. It is a must to visit once in a life time when traveling to BKK.

Overall a lovely place to see Komodo dragons
A beautiful, peaceful place to walk around, with Komodo dragons to boot! Don’t get too close! My one criticism is a certain section has a number of cats and some look in dire need of vet care. Made me quite sad that no one cares enough that lives there to take them or get them spayed/neutered.

Lush green oasis with cool lizards
Has such a lovely stroll around this park late morning. It was interesting to see how many use it for exercise purposes. I enjoyed the much needed green space and clean air. I have visited before, but this was the first time I saw the infamous lizards, which was cool, they were chilling next to the glass house.

Calm and peaceful, but not much to see
Pleasant enough park in the middle of the city but didn't seem like much of a tourist attraction when we were there. Calm and peaceful but not much to do...seemed more in use by locals e.g. for jogging and getting a break from the bustle of the city. Would only recommend if you have a longer stay in Bangkok more than a few days.

    Excellent Concert at Lumphini Park!
We went to see free concert at Lumphini Park. The concert was excellent. The park was well maintained. The concert started 5.30 pm. Organized by the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Concert in the Park takes place every Sunday, generally from mid January to mid March, at Lumphini Park. Admission is free.

A great place to see local culture and to run
We wanted a place to go for a run that was not on city streets and so we took a taxi to this park we had read about. It was probably one of the best experiences I had in Bangkok. There were literally hundreds of residents running around the park. I mean it was so many people that it was like being in a race. But it was really cool to see how exercise is part of everyday life for people there. Oh, and there are some giant river monitor lizards in the park.

Oasis of green and rest in busy district of Thai metropole.
A beautiful park in the City or business district of Bangkok. I ha d a appointment at Sathon City Tower at eleven, and sll we could spent 2 heurs and a half in the park, rest in front of the lake and eat our breakfast, go to the fitness where we could exercice and talk with nice Thai sportsmen who gave some hints and started chatted with us. A lot of people preactice spors between 7 and 9 h and we could observe Tashi exercices preacticed collectively with good music and go to the palyground where Hermione my daughter could try all games, quite safe.

    A peaceful park
We had half a day before flying home so decided to face my fears of the monitor lizards. Saw lots of them, some small, some the size of a crocodile. The park is immaculate.A lovely place to spend a few hours

Waste of time going. Absolutely nothing going on. It was so hot and there was nowhere to buy a drink or ice cream. We left because of this.
Did see the giant lizard which was the highlight

The park is absolutely beautiful. There are paddle boats that can be rented. The walking path is very nice for runners and walkers. There are bathrooms near every gate and they are very clean. It’s a beautiful green space in the middle of the city.

The park was very gorgeous and nice to walk through. It was a lot of green grass and trees in the middle of the city. It was a hot day but it wasn't bad walking through the shaded areas of the park. We saw people out on boats on the water, and water monitor lizards crawling around on land. There were many of them and a sign telling us to watch out, but they largely minded their own business and were just wandering around. It was a very nice opportunity to take a walk around and enjoy the scenery.

We brought lunch with us to sit in the park and hopefully see some monitor lizards. There are a few benches around under trees to sit and eat. We saw the lizards in the water and resting under the bridge. None of the vendors had anything open here which really surprised me.

Lumpini Park is a public park in the heart of the city. Lumpini Park is a green space that provides people with relaxation amidst the tall buildings and the chaotic atmosphere of the city. The park has a tranquil atmosphere. Perfect for walking, yoga, relaxing under the shade of trees, playing with cats, or admiring the beauty of nature. The main attraction in this garden is the lush green nature. Towering trees, lively flowers, and a large pond create a beautiful landscape that offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Seeing nature amid Bangkok makes you feel the harmony of nature and modernity. The garden has wide open spaces, both concrete and grass. These areas are not only relaxation areas but also areas for people to run or walk for exercise. and aerobic dancing. In the pond area, there are paddle boat activities. One of the park's most charming aspects is its resident wildlife. Monitor lizards lazily bask in the sun, and flocks of birds and crows soar in the sky. Plus, there are lots of cute cats to meet and play with. In short, Lumpini Park in Bangkok is a serene haven amidst the city's chaos. With its lush greenery, tranquil atmosphere, and diverse activities, it offers a refreshing escape for relaxation and recreation. From leisurely strolls to encounters with resident wildlife, it's a must-visit destination that embodies the harmony of nature and urban life.

A beautiful and peaceful park in the middle of a very busy city. You will be accompanied by giant lizards. It is relatively easy to access the park using the sky train.

Lumphini Park has been a priority on my itinerary since the early stages of planning. City parks always hold a special appeal for me. Located in the heart of Bangkok, Lumphini Park is a serene oasis that offers a welcome escape from a bustling city like Bangkok.
The park is impeccably maintained, boasting abundant greenery, a lake, and a range of recreational facilities. It's a delightful sight to witness both locals and tourists engaging in leisurely strolls or invigorating jogs against this natural backdrop.
One charming aspect that caught my attention was the presence of numerous cats—wandering, yearning, and peacefully napping at nearly every corner of the park. Their presence adds a unique and endearing touch to the overall atmosphere.
While Lumphini Park may not rival the vastness of Central Park, its decent size ensures that you can always discover a quiet spot to unwind and escape the city's hustle. The park's dimensions strike a balance, offering a peaceful retreat without being overwhelming.
