Review of: Yoga Safari
I've been on three different trips with Uganda Adventure Safaris, and I am certain that there are more to come. I moved to Kampala in October 2020, and I am so thankful that I met Chris and chose Uganda Adventure Safaris for my trips outside of the city. My first trip was to Murchison Falls National Park. My second trip was to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla tracking (and we spent a night at Lake Bunyonyi on our way back to Kampala). My third trip was to Fort Portal and Kibale National Park for chimp tracking. Chris has been an incredibly knowledgeable and funny guide as well as an incredibly kind and generous friend throughout each trip. I've been on one other safari trip in Kenya to the Masai Mara and I find that my experience in Kenya is a good source of comparison to my experiences with Uganda Adventure Safaris. During my safari in Kenya, there was a tone with our guide that the trip was just work for him--his efforts were put towards finding 'the big 5 animals' as fast as possible then getting us home. With Chris, the tone of his trip is more passionate. Chris takes his time on each trip because he truly enjoys what he does and enjoys sharing his passion with his clients. I remember on our first game drive Chris asked each one of us which animal was each of our favorites (an animal that we could find on the game drive of course), this demonstrates Chris's efforts and priority to make the trip meaningful for his clients. He considers his clients' preferences with every aspect of a trip--accommodations, food, itinerary, etc. Chris has continuously demonstrated these efforts throughout our three trips together. Now that I have spent a number of trips with Chris, I think that I am starting to get to know him well. Furthermore, I'd like to speak of Chris in general as his personality plays a huge part in what makes his company so special. Chris once said that if he is given the opportunity to help others he will always take the opportunity to do so. I see how Chris does this outside of his safari trips but also during the trips. Chris is a benevolent guide who will offer up his own bed to a client if they need somewhere to stay (yes, he has done this before). He is the kind of guide who buys everyone pineapples and buys extra to give the park rangers. Chris is the kind of guide who will welcome you to his family home in the village where he grew up, where you can meet his kid siblings and mother (who always wants advanced notice of the visit so that she may prepare a generous meal to his visitors). He is also the kind of guide who asks for his clients' genuine feedback at the end of each trip (and not minutes before you leave, during the last drive when there is enough time for a real conversation). If you plan to visit Uganda or any East African country, choose Uganda Adventure Safaris. Not only will you have a beautiful and enlightening experience, but you will also make a lifelong friend named Chris whom I am very grateful to consider a dear friend of mine.

Chris was an excellent guide to his country and people. The chimpanzee and gorilla trekking was of course unforgettable, but also the other activities were very good.

Review of: Yoga Safari
My boyfriend and I were given the recommendation by many others to choose Uganda Adventure Safaris. Since I first emailed them, Chris was extremely helpful and really good at communicating back and forth. I told him what I was looking for and my price range and he set up the adventure. Not only was he helpful with planning but also with my arrival to Uganda and any other questions I had. From the time we were picked up at our location in Kampala to being dropped off, Chris was an excellent tour guide. We went on the 3 day Murchinson Falls Safari which included a boat ride safari and waterfall view and then we added on the Rhino sanctuary experience (which is a must) He is enjoyable company and also knows a lot of information about Uganda that we got to learn about along the way. He would stop anytime we wanted at the markets or stores and knew exactly the best spots. We loved the Rhino sanctuary experience so much and loved the Staying at Fort Murchinson falls. So peaceful and beautiful beautiful views. Glad Chris recommended this spot. The Safari was amazing too. Chris did a great job at driving around to find all the animals and stopping for as long as we wanted to look at the animals. We enjoyed a quick lunch at a different lodge and then headed on our way to get on our boat ride. It was truly amazing to see hippos, crocodiles and even elephants in and along the water! When we went Dec 2020, the water level was too high to get really close to the waterfall but we were still able to view it and take pictures. Honestly I could not recommend Uganda Adventure Safaris enough. They are trustworthy, super helpful and make the experience enjoyable and worthwhile. Thank you Chris for an amazing time and a new friendship!
