A Ugandan safari has always been on our bucketlist and Uganda Adventure exceeded our expectations. We researched many companies and they seemed to have the best flexibility. Chris made all the arrangements for our tour, his attention to detail was quickly noticed.
We booked the 10 days wildlife and primates tour to Murchison falls, Kabale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi. To our surprise we were picked up in a private safari jeep, it had a refrigerator and we always had cool drinks on us.
We were very lucky to have Stephen as our guide and driver- he took good care of us. He was fantastic with good sense of humor, he made sure we saw every animal on our list as we wished. He is very knowledgeable about everything and he’s shared very infinite information about his country.
Uganda is a very nice country, every person we met was very nice, lodges treated us to our expectations and we felt very spoiled because we have never stayed in fancy places like we did in Uganda and that was all because of Uganda adventure safaris.
All in all we had an amazing and unforgettable experiences and we definitely recommend these guys to everyone going to Uganda and Rwanda.
Thank you Stephen and Chris for making our dreams come true
Hope to see you in future.

We have been on several safaris not only in Africa but throughout the world and would rank our Ugandan experience near the top of the list. The country is simply gorgeous and there was not a single moment that we did not feel completely safe. Thank you, Uganda Adventure Safaris, for providing us with the most amazing safari experience.
Over 8 Days, three National Parks, 500+ KMs, we saw gorillas, baboons, leopards, chimpanzees, crocodiles, lions, monitor (lizard), hippo, 5 types of antelopes, buffalo, 9 types of monkeys, elephants, wart hogs, and more birds than you can name (and safari ants large and micro). Leopards are a rare sighting but our (former park ranger) safari guide spotted her and her kitten 500 meters away in a Euphobia tree, so camouflaged that my wife and couldn’t see them until we were 10 meters away!
The views were amazing as we travelled through every kind of terrain you could imagine…. wide open savannah, forests, jungles, swamps and mountains – and then finished with a Kampala Boda Boda (motorcycle) City Tour. We learned about animals, birds, people, and politics. We were hosted by local guides from villages in and around the park and learned about local folklore, healing plants and lifestyles. The Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking were experiences of a lifetime – to be able to see these animals in their natural habitat was awe inspiring.
Uganda Adventure Safaris were incredible to work with. Stephen, our safari guide, was a total pro! His knowledge of the parks, perfect English, willingness to share information and insights about Uganda and its people, and several cross-country treks helped us see Uganda from many perspectives. Chris is an extremely kind, enthusiastic young entrepreneur that completely customized our experience and worked with us to choose the accommodations most suited to our needs and the type of experience we wanted. He was very organized and always responded within hours to any inquiries we had. We had originally planned this trip for Dec 2018 and due to an unfortunate injury in October were unable to travel. Chris managed all the complexities of changing our bookings, reselling our nonrefundable permits and did not hesitate for a moment to hold over all of our plans to Dec 2019 without any penalties.
If a safari is on your bucket list, then you really should consider Uganda, and if you do, Chris and his team at Uganda Adventure Safaris are an excellent choice to help deliver on that dream

Our group of 8 spent three incredible days with Uganda safaris on a gorilla experience in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. My only regret is that we didn’t book for a longer visit! From the outset Chris was very easy to work with - extremely responsive to all our questions prior to arrival and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible while we were there. If you are thinking about visiting Uganda (and you really should - it’s an amazing country) definitely get in contact with Uganda Adventure Safaris. Thanks again for a Christmas we will never forget Chris!

Overall our 11 day trip with Chris went smoothly: he was friendly, knowledgeable and punctual. However we were extremely disappointed with the food and accommodations and how Chris handled our feedback. We paid for the midrange option, however 4 of the 5 hotels were very low end. One “hotel” ended up being a tiny hut that didn’t have a bathroom (the toilet was openly in the room) and rat feces were everywhere. None of the places we stayed in even had fans, which made for some sleepless nights. When we politely confronted Chris about the situation he admitted that we’d been staying in budget accommodations and said it was because we had booked “last minute” though we had booked months in advance. He did not offer to refund us the difference and instead pocketed the extra money we had paid for midrange. The trip planning process was also unpleasant as Chris was extremely pushy in trying to get us to add activities/days and thus spend more money despite having given him a specific budget. And he put us in an uncomfortable position when he asked us to transport expensive camera gear for him from the states, which we declined to do. We ended up paying more than $6k for the 11 days, which included 2 $600 gorilla permits.
It was also a bit of a surprise when one week before the trip Chris informed us his friend Chance would be our guide for the first week. Chance was very sweet and reliable however not as knowledgeable as we would have hoped.
There was a glitch with the transfer of our deposit and Chris used his own money to secure the gorilla permits until the funds arrived, which we very much appreciated. We also appreciated that he let us use his hotspot as the hotels did not have functioning WiFi. The amount of driving Chris did was formidable, sometimes 8 hrs on very bumpy roads. He also has incredible animal sighting skills and spotted a leopard cub hiding in a bush at night. We were so impressed!
We enjoyed all of the activities (Bisoke hike, golden monkeys, Bwindi, Bunyonyi, chimps and community walk in Kibale, Murchison) and would recommend them all except for the community walk in Volcanoes, which was more of an open air museum.

Hi Annika, I want to start off by apologizing for your unsatisfied experience with our company. We strive to present top-notch services for all our clients and your feedback like this provides our company the ability to learn from and we aim at creating amazing experience to everyone that comes on our tours.
My response to you for every one coming our way. We received your inquiry on 23rd December 2019 which was already behind the recommended time for any trip that includes activities like gorillas and chimpanzee trekking which requires making an advanced bookings at least 5 months in advance as there is always limited spaces as well as accommodation properties in and around the park.
You had your own specific itinerary that was very disorganized and we responded that we couldn’t do it. We went on and proposed an itinerary which you agreed to and signed as per our terms and conditions.
I did explain to you that you were booking the trip as a short notice one and that it won’t be possible to book you in your preferred accommodations because it’s high season for traveling. You agreed to that and told me you live in Senegal west Africa and that it was okay to have mix of hotel properties.we decided to accept the Rwanda francs.
You mentioned that I pocketed all the money even when you made us lose $200 to the poor exchange rates because you intentionally neglected to pay the last outstanding balance of your trip and when you arrived in Rwanda, you withdrew Rwanda Francs that you used to pay us but because we are nice and we care,
You mentioned that I put you in uncomfortable position to transport a camera for me which you personally offered and asked if I needed anything from the states and that you would carry it for me. When I told you that I wanted a camera, you went on and told me you could sell me your old camera at a cheaper price buy it was not cheap. you made me uncomfortable buy pushing me to buy your own which was overpriced. When I went on and told you that I couldn’t buy it, you got mad at me because you felt embarrassed that I had found out that you wanted to cheat me buy selling an old shirt camera (Excuse my language please)
You mentioned that you were surprised that chance was your guide in Rwanda but I atleast mentioned it to you atleast 2 weeks in advance and as a company we decide which tour guide goes where but not you to decide, It’s high season for traveling, we do have organized clients who booked there trips years in advance and we consider them first.
Imagine someone who lets you use there hotspot, someone who goes out of there way to find you best animals😞😞.
Im glad you got to enjoy the tour plan that we recommended and I thank you so much for choosing us to handle your safari in Uganda and Rwanda.
I would advise that you always listen to us and if it’s high season for tourists, always act as recommended by us on ground.
Many thanks again.
Chris

I had an absolutely fantastic 11 day tour of Uganda travelling with Chris from Uganda Adventure Safaris. This trip had been planned for two years and had to be postponed in 2020. Chris was very responsive and accommodating throughout in making sure that my permits and reservations and accommodations were taken care of and rearranged.
Chris is knowledgeable and extremely professional in all aspects. He knows his way around all the parks and is familiar with many of the park rangers and staff in order to make sure you have the best experience. He enjoys taking photos as much as I do and he made sure I got the best photo opportunities whether we were in the truck or on my chimpanzee and gorilla tracking - he made sure the other guides were also taking care of me.
All my accommodations were exactly as expected and chosen to make sure we were positioned well for the next day's activities. Despite very long drives, Chris provided great company and lots of interesting facts as we drove through the country.
Due to changes in my flights, Chris also arranged two separate city tours in Kampala and an extra day's trek to the Mabamba swamp to find the elusive shoebill.
All my experiences were wonderful and I would highly recommend Uganda Adventure Safaris and Chris to anyone considering a trip to Uganda. It is a beautiful country with so much to see and experience.

I loved every minute of my Uganda Adventure Safari experience. From the beginning, Chris was an energetic entrepreneur who is immediate with his response and eager to share his wealth of knowledge of Uganda. He is passionate about designing a customized trip specific to your needs and budget. He works hard to support women owned and local business which meant a lot to me, but he also ensures that each place is perfect for you. If you are lucky enough to get Chris as your guide his English is great and he is just a wonderful, kind person to be around. His passion is contagious and am happy to leave Uganda knowing that we will always be dear friends. I met several other guides in passing, who were so kind, as well. If you are on the fence about Uganda as your choice country it is LOVELY and never once felt unsafe. The rolling green mountains make the drive to Bwindi easy to enjoy and seeing the baby gorillas playing from only a meter or two away is nothing short of magical. I give my top recommendation to book with this safari... you will not regret it!

We did a Bwindi tour and was taken from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi, and to Bwindi with the driver James. He was such a good guide, was very accommodating, and gave us a lot of information about the area and what to do. He was super nice. We had quite a few requests on time and stuff like that and they were very nice about making those accommodations for us.

My highest recommendation for Chris and Alonso from Uganda Adventure Safaris. They truly made our expe in Africa spectacular in every way.
From the outset, our communication with Chris was seamless; Chris was quick to respond, genuinely wanted to know about our interests, what we wanted to experience, the parts of Africa we liked to see, type of accommodation, food and travel mode. All the important details were covered, Chris' expertise and knowledge, understanding of customer experience was phenomenal.
We travelled as a family of 7 for 12 days. We chopped and changed our group numbers and itinerary several times, Chris was always ready to accommodate our changes, suggest best options to ensure our family had the most wonderful experience possible. This included a (very!) last minute request to add a 2nd gorilla trek which I thought not possible due to challenges for 7 x permits etc.
I shouldn't have been concerned, Chris made this happen quickly and we were thrilled.
Truly tailor made for us in every way.
Alonso, our guide for the 12 days is highly skilled, experienced and shared his immense encyclopaedic knowledge of all wildlife from the Big 7 to the smallest birds and reptiles.
Alonso also has binoculars for eyes and spotted the most camouflaged animals, taking time to drive across difficult terrain safely for close ups, considering the wildlife and us at all times. Alonso anticipated our needs, arranging best opportunities for us to experience wildlife, communities with local guides and rangers si we were well looked after. As such, we were blessed with seeing all the wildlife and more.
Thank you Chris and Alonso for your wonderful care, knowledge, skills and experience throughout the entire trip.

Emailing “Uganda Adventure” 2 days after arriving in Uganda for a friend’s wedding has been the best choice I have made this year 2019.
Initially, looking for a transportation to join my friends in Murchison for 2 nights, I ended leaving on a 5 days solo trip organised by Chris at the last minute (accommodations, chimpanzee trekking..).
The service you get goes beyond what you can expect for.
It requires a short period of time to realise how he genuinely loves what he does, people, his country and just want you to live the best experience ever without counting his time (24 7/7), putting a lot of effort in to make anything you need, you would think about, happen (not only safari tour).
First time travelling to Africa and so in Uganda, I have felt in love with this amazing country, its People, hospitality, parks, landscapes, villages, markets, animals, culture, lush vegetation, and so on...
I can’t be more grateful for having crossed Chris and Brian’s paths, my guide and lived this unique, unforgettable experience.
Definitely thinking about my next trip to Africa (Uganda, Tanzania) with “Uganda Adventure” and telling my close friends, they have to put it on their to do list for 2020.

We had a wonderful but short 3 days with Chris. He was such a great guide, very hospitable and great fun.
We spent alot of time driving across the country side learning about Chris's love of Uganda and too fell love. Once at Bwindi and staying in stunning accommodation we had an amasing experience of trecking through the jungle finding a big family of gorillas and spending an hour with them. An experience of a lifetime, what a memorable day it was. I am, like the rest of my group, regrettful we did not get to spend more time in the beautiful part of Africa and with the best host :) Thanks so much for the memories
