It's great interacting with dolphins in their natural habitat. Lot of boats chasing them and they move away. Yet its a lovely experience.

Fantastic sight of the mountains behind the ocean and the area where the river meets the Indian ocean. Worth to make a half day visit. With (very) small children however you will enjoy another beach more due to the fact that this beach is not...More

Visited as part of a trip to see the dolphins (reviewed separately) but spent time in the bay itself on the way back and found a couple of great snorkelling spots.

I visited Tamarin beach with a friend who was taking a dolphin cruise, so while she was gone spent 2 hours strolling, and admiring the views of the bay. The beach has lovely golden sand, but it's only about 500m long, so could become very...More

This beach was a short walk from where we were staying. The best time to go there (for me) was just before sunset...the sky is transformed into the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen.

Stopped on the way to Black River Gorge. Beach looked nice and clean with trees for shade. Nice view of the mountains in the north. Unfortunately no waves at that moment - supposed to be almost the only beach with waves.

I was there in the last week of July. Winter!! Beautiful sunshine, warm water, lots of swimming. I guess summer may be hotter and more humid. Coming from the UK, I think their winter will be beautifully warm for you.
