Thankfully met Elvis and the team locally and decided to give rafting a go! Super from beginning to end, even catering to different dietary requirements. If we were here for longer, we’d go again!
Thank you everybody, such a fab bunch xx

Awesome humans, thrilling, challenging and exhausting. Great service and knowledgeable guides which you will need if you hit the right season on the river.

This small company personalised this white water rafting trip down the Zambezi River below Vic Falls very well.
It starts within sight of the old bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe and it was just before the rains started, so low water levels, but that means that the experience is still lively. We were two tourists and six experienced rafters, some of whom were getting their hours up to get their ticket to skipper.
The skipper explained the best approach to each set of rapids as we approached and we manoeuvred the first few rather well, i thought.
Later we had two, man ( and woman) overboard episodes, but the Rubber duck stayed upright and our courage was increasing. But when we got to rapid 18 Daveson warned us that this was the big one, hole to the left, rocks to the right, so hang on and stop paddling when i say , and go low in the boat. Needless to say we found the hole and went down backwards and over we went.
Elvis was following in a kayak and picked up the two of us who were separated from the inflatable. It was a wild ride, and an absolute joy, i think the guides had as much fun as the tourists.
Do it if you get the chance.

Thanks to the super professional team from Try River Rafting. I have rheumatism and because of that I thought it wouldn’t be possible for me to join. Elvis convinced me that their staff would support me if needed which they also did. Our raftinguide’s leadership was clear and firm and his long experience and knowledge made a difference. I felt safe onboard and not only did he guide us - he also helped a lot of other participants from the other rafting company when they fell into the water. He was absolutely the No 1 guide on Zambezi river that day. We enjoyed it so much. There was a possibility to buy a film and photos from the rafting. These were of really high quality and we’re really happy we bought them. A memory for life! If you have any doubts - forget about it. Just GO - it’s an unforgettable experience. My husband also agrees!!

Elvis, JB and the crew really are great guides who ensure top safety and top fun. One feels secure at all times. Don't expect fanciness, but solid service and good vibes. Not to mention the unbelievable river which you will remember forever! This is all it has to be for the adventurous spirit. The trip is worth its price, and it is good to support a small company where the owner also guides. Note: I am a canyoning guide who has worked with rafting in Spain and Switzerland.

I’ve been rafting for the first time in my life and I’ve done it in the most amazing place I could wish for, with the craziest and most professional bunch of long experienced local rafters.
The Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls is widely considered to be the very best White Water Rafting river in the world.
A deep channeled, high volume river, the Zambezi has class 3 – 5 rapids interspersed with tranquil pools, which offer you a glimpse of serenity among the chaos of the turbulent waves and streams all around you.
We actually went down 18 rapids today and I managed to get tipped out of the raft just once (pretty scary but luckily enough I’m here to tell about it!).
This trip will enable you to marvel at the magnificent beauty of the Batoka Gorge between some of the most exciting and challenging rapids rafted anywhere on the planet.
Thanks to Try Rafting, JB and Elvis and all the other guys we met, you made this day one of the best in our life.
We love you and will recommend you to everyone who would ever wish to try this unforgettable once-in-lifetime experience.

We rafted with Try Rafting in January 2019 for a half day and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Zim and an exhilarating experience! Elvis & the guys made us feel safe and took all the necessary precautions. We were offered a very reasonable price and were well fed along the way and afterwards. They took awesome photos and added in bonus aerial photos of the Falls, which I really appreciated. I felt good supporting a locally owned and operated company, and hope to take a 2-3-day trip with them the next time I'm in the region!
