So much to see. Take your time and take it all in. Friendly staff and the plants are wonderful. Wide variety and the landscaping is very well done.

Beautiful. Something to appeal to everyone!
Will definitely return in the future. The Butterfly lab was interesting, and the butterfly room was beautiful. Lots of shady areas to rest as you walk through the beauty!

Reiman Gardens is the home of Elwood, the word's largest cement gnome. If you are from out of state, you should try to include this in your itinerary, as it quite cute. The gardens themselves are somewhat small, but well tended, and are in the Iowa State campus. To get to Reiman Gardens, adhere to what their website instructs: do not use the street address of the Gardens in your GPS; instead, use the street intersection set forth on the website. Parking is free. There is an entry fee to the gardens, though.

Just so everyone knows, Reiman Gardens is directly adjacent to Jack Trice Stadium. I unknowingly went on the day of an ISU football match, and the noise is crazy. Really does dampen the serenity of the gardens.

However, the garden is very nice - albeit kind of small. I had an exceptionally good time watching all the butterflies in their enclosure, relaxing in the open green spaces, and admiring the World's Largest Concrete G N O M E.

Admission is free for ISU students as well.

Spectacular gardens on the ISU campus. Donated and constantly expanding. For botanical lovers, you will not want to miss this! We were creeping around in the bushes enjoying all the plants and shrubs.

My family and I are traveling around the 48 States and Capitols to reconnect, learn, heal and find out there is still good in the US. My husband was granted a 3 month LOA I unfortunately had to quit my job of 18 years due to my health.
This all has nothing really to do with my review, sorry for the length. My 12 yo son found this gnome back in January and couldn't wait for me to see it (I collect gnomes)
We drove around for 20 minutes before we found out it was in this garden. Then we found out it was going to cost $28 to get in for a picture. I tried to explain that we just wanted to come in and take a quick picture with Elwood and the fee wasn't in our budget. I was rudely turned away with a "no exceptions!".
It may be a beautiful garden but $11 is ridiculous!!

This was an unexpected pleasure. The gardens and butterfly house was recommended by friends while we were in town. The gardens are well planned making for an interesting, whimsical and fragrant walk. There were decorative crystals and sculptures around the gardens. They had a "metal" origami exhibit while we were there. Take the time to stop by - it is worth it. There is an admission to get in.

You want some peace, relaxation and time with nature? I highly suggested the butterfly room. You walk in and you see all these beautiful butterflies just flutter by you. Watch you step, they like to sit on the ground. As you walk around the path, you see the butterflies land on the plants, drink the water and just fun flying in the air. It was so amazing. For a moment, i did not have any stress or cares in the world. It was amazing, i visited twice. Go see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
