- Janie B2 contributionsKualoa Hollywood Movie Bus TourWe took the Hollywood Movie Sites Bus tour which is approximately 90 minutes in duration. There are only two stops on the tour. One is at a WWII bunker which houses a lot of information about movies and TV shows filmed on the ranch and the other is at a site with props from the movie, Kong: Skull Island. This is a basic but fun tour and our tour guide, Caleb, was fun and very informative. If you have back problems which all of us do, then this is the tour to take as the others are apparently very bumpy and not recommended for people with back problems. The tour is worth it just for the incredible scenery. It is unbelievable! The Ranch is very well organized and beautiful. Check in was seamless. Definitely go and take a tour!Visited March 2023Written 24 March 2023
- Erin D1 contributionWARNING!!! Man-O-War!!!!!The views are great, the waves are calm, but if you came with the intention of letting kids play in the water or dig in the sand beware. TONS OF MAN-O-WAR!!!! They were washed up on the beach and in the water. They can still sting when dead. We collected 20-25 of them to clear our beach area, and found that a good handful washed up while we sat in chairs enjoying the view. The bathrooms were filthy. Human feces smeared all over the bathroom doors and toilets. Not the experience we were hoping for. Bus#60 from Ala Moana Centre towards East. Big park with beach overlooking Chinaman’s hat island, good for family picnic. Public bathroom not that clean.

The beach was much calmer than areas in Waikiki. It was nice just to sit and take in the views, the rustling of the water, and breezes. There are a few picnic tables but we had brought beach chairs and towels to sit on. Plenty of parking was available the day we were there, and it was worth the drive up there for relaxation and scenery.

Awesome tour and was great to get some fun stories and history from our guides. We had the privilege of having Vernon and Tony as guides and they were both knowledgeable and chill guys who made everyone laugh and cheerful from beginning to end. Thank you guys for the awesome day and highly recommend the tour to everyone for the beautiful views and history of the lands.

Great views, I would give it a better review, but my daughter got stung by a jellyfish. We were killing time waiting to go to Kualoa Ranch and wanted to wade in the ocean. We were there less than 5 minutes and when my daughter got stung by the fish. We went down the road to the fire station and the firefighters took care of the sting. While talking to the firefighters they advised that this beach is one of the worst beaches on the island for being stung by jellyfish.

Went here to see try to get to the tiny island called 'China Mans Hat' right off of the beach. The beach was quiet. There was big sign as we drive in the parking lot saying that Crime is high in the area. A bit unsettling, but there were 3 cop cars parked in the lot so we felt safe enough. The island is far too far to swim to but we could see it clearly. The mountains surrounding the beach were beautiful and green and giant. Beach itself was short and the water was murky that day but the beach was very pretty none the less.

Shelley M,
I believe you're inquiring about tours offered at KUALOA RANCH. They have a website, and sell tours thru VIATOR as well. I only briefly visited the nearby park for photos.
