Just did 2 hour snorkel trip from San Pedro (Ramon’s- excellent). A lot of the coral is dead and there’s little bright color, but I think this is true everywhere due to global warming, as we noted last year at Great Barrier Reef.
However, we swam with several sea turtles and rays, as well as various schools of fish. The shark alley is pretty intense if your boat chums the water- 6ft+ nurse sharks all around you, but they don’t bite, really.
I think it’s the highlight of coastal Belize.

We are normally scuba divers but went with a group that doesn’t dive. This was the best snorkeling we’ve EVER done!! Amazing!
Mexico Rocks is a must do!!

Pro Dive Shop tour. Lots to see. Easy snorkel trip for a beginner. Guides were helpful and pointed out different varieties of fish.

My family and I have been on this trip three times and each time is different and each time is awesome. Turtles, Sharks and Rays all over the place, plus the reef by itself is incredible to witness. The fish you see while on this tour is amazing and your guide will let you know all the information you need to know about the area, the reef and the species of thing you see. Just a great trip.

Outstanding!! I trekked out Christmas Day, during a rainstorm, with Juan and Arnold.

We had a blast, snorkeling and free diving. LOTS of wildlife.

This place was beautiful! Many, many turtles and stingrays. Lots of fish varieties. Water is cool at first, but feels really nice after about 10 minutes. If snorkeling make sure your mask fits properly. Facial hair = water leak.

Fantastic snorkeling experience. The reef has so many varieties of fish and sealife, it was wonderful to see everything. I would definitely recommend visiting this site.

Great sea life. We snorkeled here and saw sea turtles and spotted eagle rays. We also saw barracuda and a nurse shark. It was fun.

Book the trip and enjoy the extraordinary experience. We did snorkeling and saw an amazing variety of sea life. The day we went we saw nurse sharks, manatee, sea turtle and a great variety of colorful fish both large and small. If you like amazing, this is it.

The Reef is in spectacular shape! Best I have seen in the Carribbean in the last few years. They limit the number of snorkelers and divers per day. We were there 5 days before Thanksgiving and there were about 10 boats there. Three catamarans, and 7 smaller dive/excursion boats. We had to follow our guide but the 45 minute snorkel experience was very productive. We saw Hawksbeak turtles, green turtles, loggerhead turtles, Spotted Eagle Ray, Octopi, Nurse sharks, tons of fish in waters ranging form 5 to 35 feet. I am so glad the cruise ships are not allowed anywhere near this place. Hats off to Belize for protecting their portion of the second largest reef system in the world! We also did the Nurse shark/Sting ray feeding and it was well worth it and dramatic.
