My brother & I attended the Doobie Brothers 50th Anniversary Tour concert on July 17th. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We had reserved parking (very short walk to the venue) so getting in & out was quick for a concert that drew 12,000 people. Entry into the venue was very organized and the well trained staff were friendly & courteous. Once they opened the gates we were through security in less than 10 minutes. Upon entering we purchased our souvenir t-shirts and we were off to our reserved seats. No rain on Sunday but not to worry because ALL reserved seats are covered. They also have a nice lawn area that holds over 2,000 people. Plenty of Food & beverage outlets as well as clean restrooms that are located directly adjacent on both sides of the seating area. They also provide in seat service. If you are like me & love their music then the Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald’s belated 50th Anniversary Tour is the concert for you. I would rate it a 12 on a scale of 10! Most of the original members from the 70’s are still rocking! This is the best concert venue in Atlanta. Highly recommend.

We traveled from Alabama to a Slipknot concert at this venue. We purchased VIP tickets and were NOT disappointed. I was thankful we had purchased parking passes prior to our trip. The VIP parking was worth the extra money if you are an older couple like us. We usually wait until the crowd thins out before we even attempt to leave so traffic wasnt great but not as bad as it could have been. The in seat wait service was great and we loved the box seats. We plan on going back for the Rob Zombie concert and have already purchased VIP tickets for it as well. Definitely worth the extra money! Oh, and the Live Nation Lounge is NICE! Not to sound like an old lady, but hose bathrooms were the cleanest and nicest ones I have ever seen! The concert we attended was in Sept 2019 but the drop down box on the review wouldnt let me go back that far.

As a handicapped person I appreciate the thoughtful and comfortable ADA section just in front of the VIP boxes.

Excellent outdoor venue with ample under cover seating.
Lots of beverage stations, with ample selection. Prices are as expected for a venue.

A neighborhood venue that is easy to reach, park, eat & enjoy the many performances presented in an Atlanta suburb. Tickets are reasonable and the atena is always filled. Great acoustics add to the fun.

Very rainy night. The location is great! We had seats under the roof about halfway down and still got dropped on from the roof. The concert was great. The venue is very nice. Parking was easy and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We’ve been to numerous concerts here since it opened and have had a great time at all of them.

Sound was bad. Could not hear vocals hardly at all. Instruments were so loud almost to the point of being painful. And we were sitting in the back.
We went here a year ago and sound was very good.
I guess if you go, you are taking a chance on the sound board controller.

By far, Atlanta’s best concert venue with free parking! If you have special needs you can get golf cart service and they have a special easy access seating area for the handicapped too. You don’t need any paperwork, just let them know you have someone in your party that need assistance. Short beach chairs can brought in or rented for the lawn seating!

The only downside to this place, is the parking isn’t clear. So Uber or if your hotel offers a shuttle service, they’ll know. Uber gets a different drop off zone which is convenient and fast. We did park and it wasn’t like the walk was far, it just isn’t clear for the first time visitor. But everything was clean and super easy to get around inside. I would definitely go back.

Where is reserved lawn area at?

Directly behind the seats, it’s about the back 1/3 if you google it and look at a seating chart map.

Is the VIP lounge really worth it? I have lawn tickets and the family/blanket for Star Wars night

What are they offering for the extra cost?. Are the characters gonna be there for the kid and fans? Are there substantial discounts on food and drink? If not, then I'd take a pass.

How much are the chairs for lawn seeds

You bring your own chairs, or blankets. The chairs have to be the low beach type chairs.

Does Ameris Bank Ampitheater allow tailgating before a concert? If so, when does the parking lot open?
Brittany H.

Only some parking lots allow tailgating. Recently, we got the premier parking (parking lot C) because it allowed tailgating. And it opened up 2 hours prior to the start of the concert.
Does this venue accept mobile tickets with a QR code? (For example a ticketmaster ticket purchased through stubhub that cannot be printed)

Coming to see Bryan Adams 5/11 and concert begins at 8 PM what time will Lot A and Main gate open for this show?

I think lots open usually 2 hours before, and recommend you arrive 1-1.5 hour before to avoid traffic getting in.

What is the difference in Lawn 1 and Lawn 2 seating? I am on Lawn 2.

From their website:
Lawn Seating
The lawn is always first come, first serve. Guests may notice a row or seat number on their lawn ticket, but that is only used for tracking purposes. There are no assigned seats on the lawn.
My opinion: You should be able to sit anywhere on the lawn. Arrive as early as you can to claim your spot! Some obstructed views behind posts. Large screens visible from lawn are helpful. Enjoy the show.
How far ahead do you need to arrive for a concert? Saw Elton John at Columbia, SC and missed 1st 4 songs because of long security lines. We got there 45 minutes early. Dont want same thing happening at Santana concert.

Agree with newjerseymac. Traffic builds up about an hour before but you move quickly once you’re parked. Lots of great food and drink concessions to take advantage of.
