David Minkin is just amazing! We were in awe of his talent and it was wonderful to be able to see him perform in such an intimate setting. He definitely deserves five stars! However, The venue itself was a bit odd. The wine tasting and appetizers (plenty of food and good wines), were served in a HUGE conference style theater meant to hold 1,000 people. Because the event itself is limited to 100 guests it was completely empty. The seats were set up conference style, so it was difficult to talk to the people in our group. When we moved to the on stage portion of the show, the seating was very close up and ideal for David's style of magic. The problem was we ended up in the very back row and had difficulty seeing anything! Many of us from the back row moved up closer after intermission and had a totally different experience. Unfortunately, that caused a semi-hostile environment with the people who had previously been in the front seats despite the fact that the seats are not reserved, and we all paid the same price for the tickets. All in all, the night was magical, good food/wine, professional staff, but definitely sit near the front!

David Minkin's "Evening of Enchantment" is more than a show. It's an experience, just like they state. The staff is very professional, the first hour features wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres. The second half features a 90-minute performance. David should start the shows earlier so young families can attend. I believe all kids would LOVE this show.

We had such a great time! My husband and I attended the show in Anaheim for our anniversary. The staff was friendly, funny, and helpful. David was awesome! We were impressed and it was a lot of fun. The only downside was a corporate group that had way too much to drink and were fairly loud and obnoxious. David and the staff asked them to please keep it down (this was no fault of the performer/staff). Everyone wants to have a good time but some people just forget how they are supposed to behave in public. We would highly recommend this show! Fun way to switch up a Friday night!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I came here, and was pleasantly surprise by David. He was a great magician, we were on the first row and can not find out how he did all of his amazing tricks. Must see if you are a fan of magic.

From all the reviews i guess i was expecting something really spectacular and I found the whole experience just okay.First of all the wine and hors d'oeuvres; you get 4 tastes of wine, more than wineries give you but less than a restaurant pour, 2 white wines and 2 red wines. Wines aren't bad but nothing to rave about. And if you want a little more of one of the wines forget it you probably wont get it. The reviews I read said the wine was "free flowing", that wasn't the experience we had. For hors d'oeuvres there was a platter of different cheeses with crackers, tiny sliced cucumbers with cream cheese, chicken satay, a small flaky pastry filled item and small fried breaded artichoke hearts. Acceptable as appetizers but don't plan to make a meal out of it, eat something before you come. After an hour in the wine and hors d'oeuvres room you are guided to the magic room. If you want a good seat try to be one of the first out the door and into the magic room because the seats are not preassigned its sit wherever you want except for the front row where people who paid twice as much get to sit which is what I did for my husbands birthday. Don't waste your money. If you aren't one of the first to enter the room for your front row seat you will end up way at the end of the front row which is where we sat. I assumed since we paid the high price tag we would be quaranteed better seats, not so. We would have had much better seats for half the price if we just knew a head of time to be one of the first to enter the room and sit front and center in the 2nd row. As for the magic show itself it was pretty good but didn't wow me. I was expecting something bigger and better I guess. The show lasts 90 minutes with an intermission 1/2 way thru where you leave the room and are served cookies and coffee and you can buy more wine if you like. Seemed like we were in intermission longer than the first half of the show. The second half of the show was much the same as the first, nothing spectacular as I expected from so many great reviews. Since this was a surprise birthday present for my husband he had no expectations and when i asked him how he like it he said it seemed kind of hoaky to him. I know everyone has a different experience so if you choose to see this show I hope yours is much better than ours. sorry but I wouldn't recommend this to my friends.

We have met David before and came to see his magic again. We were not disappointed. He is amazing, the wine and appetizers were also a treat.

I've seen his show three times; this is the first time at this venue. This is an excellent place. The room for wine tasting is spacious and comfortable, and the magic room is intimate and comfortable.

As a performer, he is first class. I rarely pay to see any act more than once; that I have seen him three times speaks volumes about the show. A lot of times people don't applaud immediately after of one of his illusions - I am sure it's because they are dumbfounded by what they just saw, and are still trying to process it. Dude is that good.

You won't find a better show for even twice the money. Go. Enjoy. You win regret it, ever.

I went with my kids for just the magic portion of the magic and wine show. I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. The smaller audience setting along with how David connected and engaged with each person made the event that much more personable. My family was thoroughly entertained and we didn't want the magic to stop. There wasn't a dull moment and there's something for everyone. Thanks David for a truly memorable and magical evening!

Our friend group of 6 had the most tremendous experience at David Minkin 's Magic Show in Anaheim. Upon arriving we were pleased that the venue was intimate allowing every seat to enjoy up close David's magical talents. David combined his magic with his comedic talents which entertained us all. His timing and interaction with the audience made you want more and more! His magic was truly amazing leaving us in awe, laughter and smiles. David had an incredible command of his audience and was able to pull audience responses into his show. At the show's end we were able to take pictures with David which made the night even more personal. I have recommended this magnificent show to family and friends and would love to experience it again! Kudos to David for brightening our evening with hearty laughter and fun!
