Visited today. Sign is posted closed for renovations until at least December 2018. Can see it from the street behind the chain link fence, but cannot go inside.

Entry is free and though small it is definitely worth visiting if you’re in Georgetown. The rooms are decorated in 1700’s style and it’s an interesting attraction to spend quarter of an hour visiting.

It's free and captures a sense of time long ago very well! Definitely worth popping in as you pass by on Georgetown's busy M Street.

Not much to see, but it's not bad if you happen to be in that area. Just step into the free house and pick up some knowledge about the history.

I've probably walked by this place more than a dozen times. It's located is bustling lower Georgetown almost cattycorner to the Four Seasons. Looking for it, I almost walked by again. Even though the sign said it was open, the knob did not work, and...More

dropped in while the women shopped. Took the self guided tour and this place was really cool to see. The staff was well informed and had great knowledge on the history. It's really neat to see how our forefathers lived and survived.

We stopped to see this hidden gem in the middle of M Street. It's the oldest house in D.C. area. There is a little gift shop when you enter. First floor is the kitchen area. Second floor is adult bedrooms. Third floor is the children...More

While visiting Georgetown and walking on the infamous M Street it's a pleasure to stop and enjoy the Old Stone House, DC's oldest house. Not a ton to see on the inside, but again, it's nice to take it in and observe the severe differences...More

Old Stone House is one of the oldest remaining houses in the District, and is interesting for that reason alone. It's intriguingly preserved right on M Street in the heart of heavily-developed Georgetown. At three stories, it's larger than it looks from the outside, but...More

The oldest house in DC. Not a lot to see, but worth it just to feel some of the atmosphere & see the garden. They apparently ploughed up a parking lot to lay out the 'English' garden. It's not very English, but a pleasant oasis...More
