Overview
More
Among the historic streets, manicured gardens and Victorian row houses of DC’s finest neighborhood lie deep, dark secrets about a forgotten past. Come along to hear about the ghosts and spirits that still haunt these streets…if you dare. Stories of eerie coincidences, curses and scenes from the scariest movies. We’ll share the darker side of the history of this pre-revolutionary town. Is this tour family friendly? Yes! We share with you stories of curses, eerie coincidences, and of course a few haunted houses. We aren’t ghost hunters, we’re historians – so we’ll be taking you through the darker side of Georgetown, but we do not have any one jump out at you! More humor than screams, this is fun for all ages! Is the tour start/finish near the Metro? While there is no official Georgetown Metro station, the Foggy Bottom/GWU station on the Blue/Orange/Silver lines is about 15 minute walk along well lit and usually crowded streets. Its a perfectly safe walk to/from the tour, even at night.

My friends and I loved this tour and our tour guide. The stories were engaging and just creepy enough to keep us on our toes. It was a great way to see Georgetown at night with some cool historical information and lots of great ghost...More

My boyfriend & I have a tradition of checking out ghost tours in every new city we visit. Ghost tours in general are such a great way to get a "lay of the land" as well as learn some local folklore. Megan guided our tour...More

We have done many ghost tours in many cities. It is something we love to do. We figured Georgetown would be a great place to try one. Some of the stories were cool, most just typical history. We are aware that a lot of these...More

We really enjoy the Ghosts of Georgetown tour. It is incredibly well done and well run. The only downside? Georgetown is so busy that it is hard to get a spooky feeling. We’ve done ghost tours in Harpers Ferry and a few other places that...More

The tour was a good way to walk around Georgetown but was not a good ghost tour! We did enjoy the history of the area and the beautiful homes.

The tour was fun and informative about the history of Georgetown. Erin was very nice, courteous, and knowledgeable. She's a great story teller, too. Thank you!

I went on this tour because 1) it was cheap, 2) killed time, and 3) would give me a structured activity to see Georgetown. So, the ghost angle really wasn't a draw for me. That said, I really did enjoy the tour and the easy-going...More

We enjoyed the Ghosts of Georgetown walking tour. We had a large group of 19 people, and the majority had a great time. The tour guide did a nice job of bringing in a bit of the spooky, despite that fact that Georgetown was hopping...More

This was a great way to learn some historical aspects of Georgetown, with a twist! Wear good shoes and, depending on the time of year, bring bug spray. Be prepared to walk up-hill during portions of the tour.

A pleasant walking tour that takes tourists through some beautiful streets of Georgetown. The homes in the area are absolutely gorgeous. The narration by the guide was part history and part "lore" which was interesting to listen to as you wandered the streets. I was...More

Hi Sara. The our is not fast paced at all. We make several stops and we have to move slowly, as the sizes of the streets in Georgetown do not allow for moving quickly.
