This is a very tony district with lots of expensive shops. The best thing here is the amazingly inexpensive Falafel Inc.

Georgetown is a wonderful area of DC that is easily accessible and quite walkable once you get there. Located along the Potomac, there are lots of local shops, restaurants and of course wonderful neighborhoods to meander through. If you want to get away from the...More

Really enjoyed being there at night for ice cream / dinner / and people watching. Be careful of the buses and taxis, they move quick and don't wait. A must see for people that like to be out on a nice, weekend night.

I love Georgetown's colonial facades, modern waterfront, 19th century canal (Chesapeake and Ohio, now a beautiful urban park), friendly pubs and restaurants, and trendy shops. The waterfront is my favorite spot in DC for cocktails. A pleasant contretemps to the massive Neoclassical Revival Federalist style...More

After the rounds of monuments and museums there is Georgetown. Kind of like a living museum really. Quaint archicheture in charming tree lined brick paved streets. Worth a stroll around after a busy monument/museum filled itinerary. Loys of eating options everywhere at Wisconsin St, Georgetown,...More

Better for date night or special retail therapy than gaining any real sense of DC. Parking is not easy, but if you can come at a less crowded time, there are some interesting buildings to see, especially off the main drag. Try to keep in...More

It has been a while; however, the metro stop at Key Bridge is an easy walk into the middle of Georgetown. May want to Google ‘Washington DC Metro’ to see the updated map. Hope you have fun!
