Most works have been distributed to other museums including the National Gallery of Art - glad I found out before making the journey and wasting the day there.....I was looking for paintings from the William A Clark collection which had been at the Corcoran.

Nice but small art gallery. The paintings inside are pretty interesting.Washington dc is one of the largest cities with more museums.. many of them are free entry...Corcoran is one of these jewels to go.

Check out the listings and if there is something that appeals to you that is in a show at the Corcoran, go! It's a very nice space. Note the admission price is high in a city where many exhibits are free.

This is a celebration of American art work. With the ginormous landscapes of the great west to the desk of a struggling artist, it's just fantastic. A great place to experience the best in American art.

I have to admit that I am not an art person. But I checked this place out. Some of the things are ok. Some I don't get. The bundling itself is very cool. Enjoyed the architecture. Overall just ok.

We came across this place accidentally just walking around and it is not a gallery but a School of Art and Design, there are quite a few artwork pieces of students we spend about 40 minutes there and really enjoyed. I wouldn't make a special...More

The Corcoran Gallery of Art has a robust and varied permanent collection. The Warhol, "Aunt Jemima" is definitely a favorite! Everything on permanent display is great! I am also, very fond of the Jim Dime, and Stewart Walker pieces. Just a great experience, in a...More

Neat clean but in no way as fascinating as many of the other art galleries available to view. Pass if you are short on time.
