Not just a park in the city, but a kind of leisurely museum, with a scattering of Civil War forts, a cemetery and a 19th-century mill within its bounds.

Great spot for any type of visitor; dog walkers, hikers, bikers, joggers, etc.. It's great to come here and getaway from the city. You feel like you are up north and no where near all the craziness!

You will not be the only one with that idea! Prepare to share the trail at this popular park, but bask in the cool shade during the summer months or view the turning foliage in the fall.
