There were people lined up and disappointed as they were turned away...there were no limits for time or numbers shared with the crowds.

Had been there many times. On my last visit during our museum conference in DC, I noticed all different flowers and trees. It is a must see garden specially on a nice spring or summer day. You will love it!

And as a special exhibit there is a charge but if you like butterflies as my grandchildren do this is a real find. Sort of walking with butterflies. Lots of fun and educational. Don't know how long it will be around so head out now

The line was not that long on a Spring-Saturday-morning. It is very hot inside the exhibit and if you are patient one, two or more butterflies will land on your clothing. This place is amazing for a butterfly and plant lover. Small, but amazing. Worth...More

This is a super popular exhibit so go early and get tickets! If you go on Tuesdays you can bypass paying and waiting in the IMAX lines for tickets...just go to the butterfly exhibit on the second floor.

This butterfly which is called Oeneis Bore Lives in Canada and Alaska, and is at the Smithsonian Museum. Kenneth Philip, Alaskas leading Butterfly Expert, died in 2014, leaving his entire collection to the Smithsonian Museum. Oeneis Bore has wing spans of 37 to 49mm. Females...More
